Rarity and Gilda... I've seen odder pairings from this series so far, let's take a look.
Art by Jay Fosgitt, ho boy. Story by Georgia Bell? Doesn't sound familiar, let's go check the Wiki... oh, wow. She's only done one comic before, Friends Forever #8 which I didn't read. Makes me nervous but I'll give her a shot.
My thoughts on the cutest griffon ever may be a little late, but better late than never, right?
Two new episodes officially came out today.
Some interesting things in them could be explored and expanded on for stories.
A small number, but under the break, just in case you haven't seen them yet.
Ah, Gilda. Love her or hate her, she was the only griffin* on the show until "MMMMystery on the Friendship Express," the one point from which we had to extrapolate an entire species's culture. She didn't exactly make the best first impression. Of course, if you were surrounded by delicious, delicious creatures who society said you couldn't eat, you'd probably be on edge too.
Pun sadly intended. I started writing a new Midnight Rising chapter on Saturday, and so far it’s not been a struggle at all, with over 5600 words already down on it. But then again, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, given it involves a race near and dear to my writer heart—the griffons. You’ll get to see Midnight as she educates herself on the Kingdom and griffon anatomy along with their rather unique concepts of sensuality, with perhaps a minor assist from Juniper Neptune.
I’ve given them a week to hit it, and I’ve already started into into a brand new chapter, with the first 500 words down. At long last—and sorry again for the long sideshow there; I will address that directly in the first part of the text as Sunset gets dinged by creative writing instructor Ms. Cherilee for letting her narration lose focus—it’s time for Midnight to deal with Lemon Zest. Probably going to be a two-parter this go-around, but we’ll see.

Here you go. Choose which race X deals with for the next arc.
OK I REALLY need your help! A few months back I read a story about a human who was adopted by the griffon king and queen. He is in a relationship with Gilda and had sex with a dragon named Ellie. He has a best friend named "Rush" and he was part of some elite griffon army but was discharged. The main antagonist is named somewhere along the lines of "Alvonich" but it's a bit longer than that. I believe the human's name was Xavier or something. Despite knowing all this I cant find the story
While I’m waiting to launch the latest chapter of Unleash the Magic - Midnight Rising tonight, I worked on the next chapter of Feathered Hearts - Continuation and Chronicles heavily yesterday and especially today. It’s already up over 6,000 words, and among other things, I’m trying to work in parts of the original story’s chapter 9, as I haven’t included anything from the source material in a while. You’ll get to see the Marines, griffies, drakinas and Ibex in action as they work
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrreetings everypony, and welcome back to Deconstruction is Magic, my retrospective/review/analysis of every FiM episode ever. Today, it's one of my favourite episodes of all time, Griffon the Brushoff! Without wasting any more time, let's get into it. I am the Mage of Mind, reminding you, as always, that even a cheeseburger can be deconstructed to its source.
Warning: Spoilers from the latest episode, The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone, abound. Proceed with caution.
The last time Starlight fought a griffon, she'd died and had to be revived. This isn't exactly a rematch, but she wants to prove she isn't a one trick pony. (She didn't lose that first fight, but bleeding to death for all practical purposes didn't make it a convincing win, either.) Read Mare's Honor posted 1/23/24.

Mythical birds? Check. Teenage dragons being teenagers? Check. Epic griffon versus dragon war? Check. Dramatic entrance? Check. Totally unexpected culture and lore building? Check.
Think that’s it.
School is in session at the start of Season 8!
For those who didn't get the messages about it, I've finally begun dropping the first chapters of I Thought You'd Never Ask, the sequel to the well recieved What's Your Problem?. This one has a much grander scale, and will follow the Young Six, and everypony at the school of friendship through a series of field trips to the neighboring
These are some of the griffon OCs I have made.

Captain Spark
A falcon griffon. He is the captain of a ship who dabbles in pirating.

So, seeing as there was a lot of interest in What's your problem?, I've decided to use the sequel as an opportunity to play out a few ideas that have been tumbling around in my mind ever since Twilight first introduced the exchange students.
Titled Enter the Griffons—yes, it’s a shameless double-entendre—it’s going to easily be the longest chapter yet in the story, checking in at a very healthy 14,000 words and crammed full of more M-rated action than you can shake a stick or a griffon spear at. It’s already well-over my usual clopfic chapter length, and yet I keep adding to it. You’ll also see some references to Firefly and Feathered Hearts along the way, even aside from FH’s favorite birdie boi being present.
