Perspective. It's important.
I'll be honest, part of me right now simply wants to link that wonderful scene from Pixar's Ratatouille wherein Anton Ego sits down for a meal and orders "perspective." Mostly just because it's a fun scene, and Anton is such a fun character. I mean, his nickname is "The Grim Eater," what's not to love about that?
When I was younger, there was a point in my life where I was really, really into dissecting the games I played. And I don't just mean in story. I took those games apart. I learned to open and edit .ini files to put campaign-only units into skirmish games, or how to break the game in ways that designers never anticipated. I dove into the files. I put games through the wringer.
OMFG I was going through my bank account trying to figure out where all the money goes and I noticed that Amazon sent me $2.77 royalties for my human clop. Ah, I should write more of that stuff. It's nice being paid.
Writing is awesome.
Iḿ not ok. I had a rough weekend . School isn´t ever going to make my life better. my cousin doesnt understand me. my life is a mess and My friends have to deal with my insecurities and my out burst . Iḿ sorry, and I will always be sorry and they can change that. My friend keeps leaving the chat cuz i can stop saying sorry. Does she think Iḿ doing this on purpose. I feel regret every word I type thinking Iḿ going to hurt or annoy someone. Iḿ used to saying sorry and I don ever expect one back
Amid some of the other blogs I see along these lines, it feels kind of petty to mention this, but you should all know about it anyway. Today, I've been moved from my basement desk to the wing of my building that houses the rest of my department. The good news is that I now have an actual view.
So. there I was, folding laundry, a feat to do when you are recovering from food poisoning, when this lovely scene popped into my mind.

Euugh. Today was supposed to be a catch-up day for writing. As well as a day when I got up and put up this post first thing in the morning. And then … I woke up at around eleven with a fuzzy head and light sore throat … and then I feel back asleep and woke up at 1 … and then I actually crawled out of bed at 3 a few minutes ago … We’ll see if I get any writing done, but from prior experience of forcing myself to write when my brain is like this and then deleting it all the moment my mind comes
The next chapter of A Game of Kings and Pretty Pony Princesses will mark a huge milestone for me.

I'm sick as a dog at the moment, which isn't helping. I'm trying to keep chugging away on active projects, and I've gotten a lot done so far this month, but this week in particular has been pretty much a lost cause. Hopefully, but the end of the month I'll have a couple of things updated.

Uhhh...argh...I think I'm alive. Got clobbered two Fridays ago with a nasty throat-to-sinus-to-lungs, butt-kicking plague that forced me to take two days off work and still has me coughing my lungs out. Now my poor hubby Tale Weaver got hit with it last Thursday, so for days we were both barely functioning enough to make a whole pony between us 
Picture this, if you will, for a moment. Imagine a young man, an author. Well, a writer who has just recently become an author, having successfully published his first book. He's just been invited to a big convention, where to his excitement, he will be on a panel alongside some of fantasy's greats in writing (if I'm being sparse on details here, forgive me as I don't remember all of them).
Extra Credits is a great Youtube series. In fact, at one point, they were even featured on my Links page. I tend to rotate things there from time to time, and maybe I should be giving them another go.
