After a full year away. Sorry, folks, but so many other things had my attention and priority before this. The ending of the story has to wait for Midnight Rising to be finished in order to properly set up the climax, but there’s room for at least one and possibly two more intermediate chapters in the meantime.

It's April, which means it's time for the annual Horror Write-Off I run every year, Nightmare Night in April!
The event is simple: in order to encourage more horror writing, I hold a write-off event in which anyone can submit a Horror Story, to be compiled by April 30th, the opposite day of the year from Halloween!

Hello everyone and welcome back to the question of the week and for those of you who partake in the holiday, happy Labor day.
As many of you know, I love Halloween and therefore I also love Nightmare Night. And while I woukd like to maybe write a story in my Neo Somnambula setting involving the holiday, however there a definitely somethings about the holiday that could result in some differences.

Correction: tonight is the festivity known as Nightmare Night. This festivity involves organics dressing in costumes for the purpose of frightening others or merely to reference media they find enjoyable. Many organics seem to enjoy things which acknowledge the existence of other things.
No big picture this time. But just yesterday, and now today, my story view count has been reaching the 200's, especially yesterday. This brings a good feeling in me; I was kinda expecting my self-promotion to be ignored a little, then again, I do get a peak amount of views in my sleep.

You might have noticed I've been quiet this week.
Here in Australia it is already November 1st. Aaaaaand with the turn of the month I realise that I forgot to keep my blogposts up to date with the plethora of spooky specials I released over on YouTube for Halloween' event 'The Month of Macabre 2017'. A warm welcome to all new readers of Unleash the Magic - Nightmare Night! Thank you very much for the likes and watches. The story featured for nearly a day and a half but hasn’t quite pulled itself over the century mark for total likes yet. Nevertheless, I’m pleased with the reception, and have plenty more planned. Things are just getting started with the end of part 4, and no member of Mane 6 will escape. Will Spike, Starlight and Trixie fall prey as well? Stay tuned!
The song is the intro theme from a BBC original stop-motion clay cartoon I used to watch religiously from my childhood, The Trapdoor. Brilliant and charming little show with great stories and some creepy monster designs. If you're up for some kid-friendly spooks this Halloween, I strongly recommend watching that show. Check out a few episodes. It has good humor and creativity. Unlike dickhead me.
IN WHICH I SPOIL THE DARKNESS
Halloween is officially over, here in the Ozarks. I haven't trick-or-treated in probably 20 years. Part of that is because my father's birthday is October 31st, so that takes priority. Part of it is I'm boring as hell. Part of it is this is my ex's favourite holiday, so it's kinda painful. This year, I spent it with you, my loyal followers. More word-barf below!
