Things I can control:
I can write stories about whatever ideas I happen to have
I can ask advice about how to make them better
I can decide who I want advice from and who I don't for whatever reason

First things first: I am not leaving our fandom. It's just that we are on hiatus and now that yugioh's getting a new movie and yugioh abridged is updating again I need to get my mind off that franchise. Seriously, it's barely alive in any sense, as it truly should be. (I consider the movie to be an old tribute and YGOTAS to be a separate fandom.) Anyway, I want to look at some more franchises, ones that are active and based off something that doesn't suck. Anyone reccomend anything?

No movie is perfect; no franchise is perfect; no television series is perfect; no cartoon is perfect. They all have their flaws in whatever category. You can perfectly love a movie or show while also admitting its flaws.

Take The Lion King for example. Just because I love the movie and grew up with it doesn’t mean it doesn’t have flaws. Listen, that movie has several issues such as the butchered moral at the end, but I still love it for the precious gem it truly is.

I think that while there will always be praise and criticism and it depends on how we respond to it, we should never bully, degrade, or discourage each other nor others for making fanfiction, fan-art, OCs, etc. Because everyone is different and we should embrace those differences and spread love and acceptance for the amount of effort, creativity, and care put into what we create, in my opinion.

This fandom has a lot of unnecessary drama. I mean, just look at what happened after Fili Vanili. Death threats were sent. Freaking DEATH threats just because Pinkie was perceived as acting out of character.

It is known that the seeds of this wonderful fandom were planted when people saw memes about the first episode back in October of 2010 on the internet. The memes were probably just made as a joke, but people who were curious about the memes inspected the show, and genuinely enjoyed it, and the cycle continued with new pony memes making more people curious, and so the herd grew.
