Hypoesthesia by Flashgen is a story submitted for the Quills and Sofa Speedwriting Contest responding to the prompt, "How will I break the news to you?"
Awoooo, awaaaaa, amooooooooo. I’ve finished communing with the Elder Spirits, those phantom deities which lend me their neurons to write these glorious literary critiques. They’ve guided me to two more stories, to add onto my previous blog. In exchange, they are slowly siphoning my lymphatic fluids for their own purposes (I think they carbonate it and use it as a mixer in cocktails).
Just a Fetish by garatheauthor
8/10 would recommend and more then the fact that this is adult content thats actually worth read
More below the fold
Yep, I'm getting started on them again, just two quick pieces that aren't proper reviews so far, one commenting on the long break between reviews, and the other giving an overview of the newest stuff on my reading list.
I’ve not been doing terribly well lately. Let myself just sort of fall apart, not really do… anything of value, really. I read and reviewed some stories, but I didn’t want to post them, because I wanted this to be my 1000th review… I worked on some writing, but didn’t finish it, because I let myself get stuck…
And then, today, I decided I was tired of being stuck, and read Eternal in its entirety, from start to finish, in about six hours.
I went crazy this week and reviewed every single minific in the latest writeoff competition. 109 stories. Over 13,600 words worth of reviews.
I posted all of these previously on the writeoff forum, but I’m posting a compilation post on my blog for reference.
For those of you who aren’t in the writeoff: you can probably ignore this post, as many of these stories are in a rough draft state and will be revised and expanded before they end up on FIMFiction in their final form.
So, I wanted to attempt another story review. This time the story will be the tragic story Blood on the Snow by Chocovich.
Summary
Blood on the Snow is a beautifully written tragedy. In this story Apple Bloom is blinded by a Timberwolf attack. Afterwards, she must find a way to adapt to her change in lifestyle.
Warning This Contains Spoilers to Story, you have been Warned
Hey guys I'm back with another story review and believe me this is going to be a good one.
Today I'm reviewing The Sun of My Heart by BlueSun52
Two Thursdays ago, I read Eternal.
Last Thursday, I finished my latest story, A Thousand Roses, and got it ready for editing.
Today, I decide to tackle another longfic, this time one I had not previously read – Estee’s A Mark of Appeal.
What's Wrong With My Voice: (Everything!)
Ran across a really funny King Sombra story by a new Sombra writer a couple of weeks ago. Check this one out!
Story review #16: Reflect A Broken Gem —By Mockingbirb
Character’s:
Sunset Shimmer: I love seeing the soft redeeming side of Sunset and for the most part that is how she is in this fic. She is really in canon for the most part and I love her chemistry with the other characters!
Adagio Dazzle: I enjoy how well written and human (don’t tell her i said human) Adagio is in this story.
I'm just writing this because someone I follow requested reviews for some of their stories. I don't have any plans to do future reviews, but I figure if I do, they'll probably spawn out of some curiosity for an oddball fic. This is one of them.
Look what got reviewed!!! Unleash the Magic - Midnight Rising was rated 'Recommended' by the Pleasant Commentator and Review Group. To be sure, I don't agree with everything said in here, but given how dicey getting clopfics reviewed can be (especially one like THIS!), I'll accept it quite happily and gratefully:
I made the fatal mistake this holiday season of overcommitting myself. I tried to get so many things done, I failed to get almost any of them done in time for my online friends.
But it is the holidays. And just as my mother orders things from Amazon and sometimes gets them on December 30th instead of the 24th, it is still part of the 12 days of Christmas, right?
That’s totally how it works, isn’t it?
Sorry folks, it’s been a while since I posted a review set. So I figured I’d start us back off with some of my favorite stories that I haven’t reviewed yet, before I start waving my cane at the kids to get off my lawn.
Today’s stories:
That’s All by Archmage Ludicrous
Mate for Dash by AppendingFic
Twilight Eats a Hamburger by PonyTom
Heart to Heart by Crosis
Weeks ago, I started on this set with the intention of including a review of Eternal. Alas, I ended up reviewing five stories before I got around to reading it, and consequently it (along with Skywriter’s Heretical Fictions) got pushed off to another review post.
Why?
Because sometimes, when I’m stuck on a story, I go back and read through stories by others in the hopes of capturing some of their magic.
As promised last weekend, I posted a story this week:
I Can Explain!
by Titanium Dragon
Teen, Sex, Comedy
1,033 wordsRarity explains to Sweetie Belle what the Cutie Mark Crusaders saw when they walked in on her and Applejack.
It was totally innocent. Really!
On Thursday night, at about 6pm, my internet died. Around 10pm, it came back to life.
Fortunately, I downloaded a number of pony stories from FIMFiction, so not all was lost. Still, being without the Internet is a terrible fate, and leaves me feeling diminished, as if I have been cut off from a part of myself.
