So, clearly you've read the title of the blog. But I want to pose a question. However, just like the pony that is my profile image, I feel like I need to elaborate before I can really get to the question proper.
River Road just had a magnificent idea. One so good I felt I should implement it at once.
With Memorial Day approaching, we're entering barbeque season in my neck of the woods. On a related note, Dueling Keyboards, my compilation of shorts and miscellany, has updated.
Some nihilist has clicked the 'dislike' button on Letters From an Irradiated Princess, sending it down to be ranked 523rd on the site. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Hubris, tragedy, etc. I suppose I am no longer best at pony.
(Still, I take entirely too much pleasure when my stories apparently are in the top 1% of fanfics on the site).
And now, time to go be productive on some other stuff! In theory.
Well, I'm keeping busy. Right now, I have half a dozen story ideas in various states of production (working titles include He Come to Town, How Lyra Met Bonbon, and What Shy Did on Her Summer Vacation) and I'm about to start teaching myself JavaScript.
At the risk of sounding like the ultimate definition of a newbie, I have but one question: I've noticed that there have been a lot of different groups on this site. Some of which are related to various themes of fanfiction while others are dedicated to some narrators / voice actors within the FiM fandom.
With other groups dedicated to sharing their love for both FiM and various other media franchises.
With all of that being said, I ask this:
Bliss Authority sent me these, and they're too fantastic not to share. (In fact, I liked them so much, I wrote numbers 60 through 100.)
Tonight was a minor momentous occasion, the first family barbeque of the year. After the burgers and bratwursts, my father saved the leftover baked beans for me, because I like to put them on toast. (Don't knock it 'til you try it.) Once he did so, he held them up and said, "This is the beantainer you should look for."
I should note that, to my knowledge, my father does not read fan fiction of any kind. And I wish to emphasize at this point that he started it.
I must admit, I was caught off-guard by this week not having a new pony episode. That’s what I get for not taking a closer look at the schedule. I guess they really want to build up the Trixie hype.
In hopes of breaking my bout of writer's block, I'm trying something new; complete silly insanity. Also a crossover... kinda. Not to be taken seriously at all. Very little editing. Very short.
I really hope this works.

I started my first group today with a bunch of silly people on the Fimfic discord. We should have our first story in about one to two weeks, which should be quite entertaining.
If anyone is interested in participating, message me or leave a comment, I'd love to have a few more minds in the mix.

This was too short to be a proper story on fimfiction and couldn't really be expanded without losing its focus. Beware of unedited messiness and have fun.

Except I'm missing part of my ensemble, I'm going to have to rush-complete my Sliver deck tonight, and I had a nightmarish packing experience due to panicked realizations that some companies completely falsely advertise what services they offer - but, details! That will be saved for the retrospective.
On my way up I will be taking a train which, itself, will take roughly 26 hours to arrive in Baltimore from my town.
