I know no one reads these ramblings, but that's fine with me. If hell freezes over and I write a story that results in more people following me, they can search my archives and find these. Buried treasure? Buried garbage? I don't know. That's not my call.

Yeah, it is a good idea to let a story sit for a day and then come back to it. I ended up making a few minor revisions that hopefully improve flow.
TL;DR - The first chapter of Antonovka has been submitted. It clocked in at just under 2700 words, which I know is awfully short, even for me, especially considering the idea has been kicking around my head for nearly 11 months.
Well now, look at how long I have possessed this account, and yet never done anything with it. I assure you, any whom may be reading currently, that will change. Starting today, I will be writing more, posting and blogging quite a bit. We will see where this goes, no? Such a shame, that I have been so very inactive. Not just here, but everywhere. It's time to seize the day, take the bull by the horns, and stop lollygagging about. There are thing needing tending too and works that need doing.

One day, I walked over to my friend Sunny's house. As usual, I walked into her backyard. Instead of knocking on the back door like I usually do, however, I just stayed outside because I spotted her and her sister lying in their hammock, just rocking back and forth.
"Hi," I said. Sunny probably returned the greeting. Can't remember. It was months ago, and my memory is rather terrible.

IN WHICH I AM ASHAMED
There's a reason I usually sit on my stories for several days before posting them. Because I use no outside editor or prereader, making sure that grammar works and dialogue flows is completely on me. I accomplish this by reading the story aloud while looking at the words and then tweaking stuff when needed.
IN WHICH I ATTEMPT TO TIMING
I really like this site, yet sometimes hate it at the same time. Why? Because well-meaning readers keep giving me ideas. That's great, and I love y'all for it. But I'm a slow writer on the best of days and new ideas tend to crowd out the junk that's already in my head. Still, I want to make at least some writing progress on my in-production stories over the next two days.
IN WHICH I FALL FURTHER BEHIND THE TIMES
I have not seen Legend Of Everfree. I probably won't get the opportunity to see it for quite some time due to stuff happening IRL. I've heard that Sunset gets shafted out of the main character position by Twilight yet again, so I'm not exactly chomping at the bit to see it.
I guess I'll have to take it upon myself.

IN WHICH I POST AFTER MIDNIGHT
I don't like making two blogposts in one day, meaning it's going to be awhile before I say anything again, but that may be for the best, as my writing pace (sluggish to begin with) has dropped due to my being distracted by many things – phone calls, annoying neighbour dogs, a needy cat, food, anime.
APOLOGIA
I open my documents in Notepad (lately I've found it easier to type in that program than in Word, possibly because I don't think as much about formatting), and I stare at the words I've written — the setup to a second Mayor+Spike story, the beginning of the rest of Antonovka (a story I've outlined in its entirety), the skeleton of Adagio Wants A Burrito — and I just cannot be motivated to write anything. Sorry. 
I noticed that some of the words in the edited chapter 1 of Ruby are not correct. In some places, I just need to edit what is said. Its not to my liking. Therefore, I'll be editing just a little more. It'll be done in 2.5 seconds and this time I mean it..... Starting tomorrow...
Note To Self:
Do not upload an incomplete story unless you're damn certain of where you're going with it and have already written more than one chapter. You only get one shot at submission, after all.
I could make the excuse that this is just a really busy time of year, which is true, but it's more that I've just been too lazy and distracted to write. It's terribly unprofessional, I know, and I apologize. I don't know when I'll put up more material, but it will happen.
So, I've been seeing a lot of artists do a "meet the artist" picture recently, so I decided to make one too. Here it is:
And the reason the little things are just sketches is because by the time I finished the actual picture I was too lazy to fully draw anything else

I'm not looking forward to next Friday. I know very few people who are. That day, incidentally, is also the second anniversary of my posting my first story on this site. As with last year, I am preparing a Mayor Mare story for y'all that will be posted sometime that day. Will it be any good? I can't promise that. I never do.
