Ok, so, good news and bad news. Good news is, I can get back to writing! Bad news is, my old computer has pretty much all but crapped out and died, and I just used nearly $400 to buy an emergency one.
I don't know how good it is, because it is refurbished, but I do know that I'm going to stress test the living hell out of it for the next couple days to make sure it can keep up with the worst of it. I'm currently re-downloading a bunch of things I'll need in the future, in fact.
Heya, word aficionados!
Gonna keep on keepin'-on with my Patreon rewards by tackling a couple more chapters of The Wandering Inn. This particular set of chapter reviews is brought to you by A.P.O.N.I.
Texas's propensity for doing stupid shit with its educational system is well-known at this point.
But this may be perhaps my favorite one so far:
Happy International Women's Day to all the female-identifying people out there! To the women who were assigned female at birth, to the people who were assigned female at birth but are unsure if they're women, to the people who aren't of the female sex but who are still women, you all are valid and you all matter! And to all the women and girls who struggle with body image, self harm, depression, other mental illnesses, you still are loved, even though you might not love yourself. And to all the

What kind of fic do you think I'm writing, Gdocs?!
Hey I know I promised an update two weeks ago but this month has been really rough for me. I fell off my meds for a while and a lot of stuff piled up that I had to deal with that I just couldn't find a muse to keep writing until recently. I'm going to try and finish the next bit by the end of the month, and once that's done it should be easier to get back into the flow of our regularly scheduled programming.
Stay tuned.
Not a Brit, but I always found the idea of Bonfire Nite interesting, so I like to at least acknowledge it on the day of.
Anyway, not too much to really report on my end. Writing has become a bit staggered lately (due to lack of motivation as a result of recent reader turnout), but I am going to try to get SOMETHING more substantial done by the end of the year. Maybe I'll actually start the "Elements" sequel? I dunno, really...
I spent the last 12 hours assembling and struggling with my new computer, discovering the joys of everything from poorly applied thermal paste to improperly connected memory to not-entirely-plugged-in SATA drives.
But at last, I finally live in the world of the SSD, with 32 gigabytes of RAM.
Right now, my computer is installing Windows 10 (huzzah for free OS upgrades), and while it still has my old video card in it (and likely will for several months), it is otherwise up and running.
Or Easter, for ya'll who don't like my name for it. Regardless, I hope you have had a good weekend. And now I have a present for you all:
THE NEXT CHAPTER OF THE TROTTING DEAD IS FINISHED AND HAS BEEN SENT TO KJAY!
And it's only just over two years late!
"Sunset, is... is that a tongue?"
The redhead put a chicken breast pack on the cart, looked at Twilight's horrified expression and then to where she was pointing.
"Yep. People eat it seasoned with vinegar sauce." She shrugged. "I don't know, I find the kidney more disturbing. Or the liver, it's fried with onions and tastes like shi-- Twilight?!"
And that's when Twilight decided she'd seen enough of this world and the meat aisle.
You may have noticed I've changed my profile picture, there isn't really a deeper reason for this than the fact that "I wanted a cooler one," so I tried making one. I'm thinking I'll make another one someday; I'm not a big fan of the fact that my avatar is humanoid. I feel a little pressure whenever I see all the anthromorphs in every comments section, and I here I am with a curious mask-face and and a body made for two legs (not that you can really see any of that). I realized the
I've started this blog post too many times. I'm really bad at self promotion and such but basically here's a link. If folks want to say nice things, I appreciate it.
Trust me, you want to click that page break.
November was a good month for me, both for writing and in meat space.
Writing-wise, I put out three stories last month. This is a new record for me. Seriously, I'm more inconsistent than quality in a DC superhero movie.
The last story I posted in November did... Well, astoundingly well. I expected to get a few chuckles and then have my story get buried by others of higher quality.
Or will die
I have a poetry recitation competition today (Poetry Out Loud) and Im really nervous because it's the regionals competition so the top people get to go to state and aaaaaaaaaaaa
I'm already a nervous wreck
I won't be online much today, but when the competition is done I might make another blog with the results
Anyway if I die, blame it on the poetry
Bye!
