Well, EFNW 2019 was a thing that I did. Even better, my wife came along with me to see what my excitement was all about. While on vacation, I spent a little of each day typing up my thoughts about the event. Why would I do that? This is important for me because this has only been my second con ever and I want to write about it. So, how did it go?

And when I arrived, it was raining, thus validating everything that I believe about the city. One of the locals says that it doesn't always rain in Seattle, but I choose not to believe him.
I'm going to a con.
A PONY CON.
Everfree Northwest, to be precise. Two days from now, I shall be ensconced in a Seattle hotel room, where I imagine I will be obligated to drink a bunch of Starbucks, watch a lot of Fraser, and listen to a lot of Nirvana.
(I'll probably wear flannel even without the city obligation).
I'm finally going to my first MLP con.

Of course, I say six-plus instead of seven because even though I joined the herd in 2011, it wasn't until November, and since it's only the second month of 2018, it's only been six years and four months. It took me just over a year before I discovered this site, which I just celebrated my five-year anniversary of being a part of, but to this day I still haven't attended any MLP conventions.
So, no blogs since May of 2018. Yikes. Totally missed BABSCon and EFNW 2019. And then...
Yeah, we all know what happened next. But EFNW 2020 2021 just happened. And it worked. It felt great. Yeah, we all still had masks, and it was a new hotel, and G4 is over, but... I'm excited again. I'm going to try to get back to writing again! (Yeah, famous last words, I know.)

I wrote this one at EFNW for the Iron Author contest. Its changed a bit since that first draft, but was still a lot of fun to write.
It's also a sequel to 404: Romance Not Found, building on the relationship established there in some small ways.

Since I booked through the con they took my money and now it's theirs, in their hoard and I'm fucked.
They have kindly offered to let me transfer the room to someone else and have them repay me.
But otherwise I'm out over a thou, and that kinda stings.
Should have made this earlier, but honestly just remembered after seeing other people make posts.
I'll be at Everfree this year. I still haven't had the drive to try submitting a horror panel, so I'm not hosting anything. I'll still be hanging out and having fun, maybe trying Iron Author again.

Here's where we are on the Seashell print book:
83 pages all told, including front matter and a preface. 75 of them so far are story. Anticipating about 10-20 more pages to be finished. Almost there!
Cover's done (for the hardcover edition dust-jacket, at least, will probably have to be redone for the paperback but whatever).
At some point Mayhew had to ask himself if anyone even reads these things...
Any whey, I am now seated among the gray in a little room in Seattle... I freaking hate hotels, it is so freaking dark in here. Even with all available lights on it is still the flat end of twilight in here... so dark... so lonely... Oh well it is less than twenty-four hours until I get to enjoy EFNW2016.
Hey everybody, back yet again with yet another story. This time, I've posted the story I'll be submitting to Everfree North West's Scribblefest 2017 event, "Sierra". Much like "The Mare of the Equestrian Eighth" that I submitted last year, I decided to take an experimental approach to this one. Though it isn't poetry, it's definitely playing with prose a bit, and I don't know how successful it'll be. That'll be up to you guys to decide.
Alright, I will be completely honest about MLP after watching the series finale. (Sighs) Season 9 kinda ruined it for me, I didn't like how the characters were changed, from Celestia and Luna. But The Last Problem, was a hit to the gut to me. It was not how I wanted the show to end at all. And I do not like how the Mane 6 look now. I was rather disappointed by it.
Regarding Everfree Northwest 2021:
I'll be there. Catch me if you can. I hope I catch you there if you're going too.
