So when we die, we basically become like fictional characters, alive only in words, pictures, and memories.
Woah man. 5am deep thoughts.

2016 has seen many treasured and beloved celebrities pass away. In the past year, just to name a few, we've lost Carrie Fisher, David Bowie, Alan Rickman, Gene Wilder, William Christopher, Florence Henderson, Prince, and Muhammad Ali. So many more great people have died in this nightmare of a year.
Man, I just don't know what to tell ya, folks.
This week, some great treasures of the small screen died. And so did one of the most influential figures of modern medicine.
The worst part is I somehow missed all of these until I was doing my weekly round-up. Alan Thicke's death came as a complete shock, as did Bernard Fox's. Both of those happened days ago.
Bernard Fox dying...that hurts. He's one of my favorite character actors from yesteryear.
Here are the notable deaths for this past week from North America, Japan, and select parts of Europe. As usual, please see Wikipedia for a complete list of notable 2016 deaths.

Okay, look, folks.
Prince died. In an elevator. Alone.
It's confirmed this was no suicide. There's no obvious signs of anything unusual other than that he died.
By all accounts, Prince didn't have any sort of drug addiction. Not even painkillers.
So please, you media vultures, you media ghouls, stop trying to create a big dramatic narrative about opiates or Percoset or whatever the FUCK you want to sell papers and ad time with.
Yet another talented individual has been taken from us in the year of death. This time, in the form of 93 year old Arthur Anderson who voiced Lucky Charms mascot Lucky the Leprechaun for 3 decades. Anderson also had a theater career beginning at the age of 10, and lent his talent to radio shows and Broadway, as well as a few movies.
Henceforth, the Weekly Death Blog will be posted on Saturdays. I'm combining this week's death blog with a little personal note about all my blogs, especially one particular ongoing blog series, just as a friendly and courteous reminder to my followers and readers. For the sake of not forcing everyone to read the latter, it will be placed after a cut.
Yet another famous actor has died this January. Abe Vigoa died Tuesday morning at the age of 94. About 34 years ago it was said that he had died, but he was actually alive. Sadly, that is not the case this time around.
According to this Equestria Daily article Brony musician SoaringFlight died a while back in a car accident, and this discovery was only recently brought to light by CommandSpry on his YouTube channel.
The basic details are that he fell asleep while driving, drifted into the lane of a truck, and his car collided with the truck and was completely crushed.
Just days after the death of Rock and Roll artist David Bowie,British actor Alan Rickman died today of cancer at the age of 69.
Rickman is most famous for the role Hans Gruber in Die Hard, as well as Professor Severus Snape in the Harry Potter film series. But he was involved in other projects, and was among Britian's most famous actors.
I might as well start a weekly feature of obituaries culled from WIkipedia's recent deaths page. Since this year someone we knew and respected/admired is dying on a weekly basis.
*sigh* Let's get on with it.
This week's notable deaths (note: I'm listing people I or someone close to me would be personally aware of. I'm not listing every single death on Wikipedia.):
Harper Lee, 89, American author (To Kill a Mockingbird).
While checking the obits on Wikipedia, I discovered that two Magic: the Gathering illustrators, Wayne England and Christopher Rush, died within a day of each other this week.
I don't collect or play M:tG, but odds are some of my followers do, so I thought I'd share this news.
Jerry Lewis has passed away.
He left behind millions of "Jerry's Kids" who will mourn the passing of a truly great human being.
Today the world lost another icon.
Today at around 11:35 am the musician known as Prince died and the world got a little quieter.
In honor of his passing I wish someone would make a pmv of his famous song purple rain.
I would but I cant draw, program or design at all. ( I suck)
This is an update to my post On the event of your death. I just want to say something I've learned from painful experience.
Do not appoint your friends or loved ones as your executors.
Being an executor is a stressful, thankless task that just sucks the life out of people.
Well folks, today was the day. My family's cat, Kasey, whom we've had since 2006 was put down today at the age of 18. It was pretty fast, she didn't suffer and she's in a better place now. The vet let us keep a paw print memorial since we decided not to keep the body.
Because I'm slow to push stuff out, I thought that it would be nice to share this new one-shot that I'm working on. The section below contains at least three pages of the current document, so it should be enough to stave your hunger for content until it's actually ready to publish. That, and well, you know I'm working on stuff at the very least.
Squeak-Squeak, Squeak-Squeak, Squeak-Squeak…
Admit it. There is only one possibility for a winner. But at least we got some banger music and a sick AF fight scene.
