It's already 3000 words long and I don't see it being much more than 5000, so a release should come later this week. Focus shifts back to what's happening with Spike, with a side of the CMC thrown in. So as to not spoil the Spike scenes, here's a teaser focused on the latter:

Sorry to not keep readers updated, but I've found it hard to feel creative over the past week. You'll understand, it's a little difficult to be interested in writing, especially sexual stuff when you're recovering from knee surgery (or really any surgery), as your body devotes its energy to healing instead of to more pleasurable pursuits.
The next Nightmare Night chapter is on the way and may be draft complete this weekend. It is likely to be a shorter chapter this time, perhaps around 6500 words or so. Highlights include Eclipse vs Celestia--in which I attempt to plug a major plot hole from the MLP movie--and action on the other side of the portal as Twilight and Sunset get ready to answer the map's call. There will also be some check-ins with the CMC, and Spike's group.
4000 words in, and as usual, the chapter's taking a bit of a turn from what I initially intended as I find myself shifting from section to section, working on each a little in turn. But that's fine. There remains at least a slight chance I'll have it done by this weekend; it depends on whether I finally break through and start knocking out the rest quickly, which sometimes happens in my writing. In order to do a general editing pass and major update on the parent Midnight Rising story. I began it this weekend and now have three revamped and significantly expanded chapters done and posted. You are invited to check them out and comment, as I think they're marked improvement over the earlier incarnations, with a lot more detail and addressing some issues people have pointed out over the years.
And I will do my level best to get a second one done in the next week. Don’t be surprised if it slips a few days, but I’ll at least have one out on Halloween.

Sorry for the delay. Was waiting for final prereads to come in, and I’ve been sick this past week with what might have been the norovirus due to symptoms I’d rather not mention.
Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Ironic how I was going to update a couple chapters to my stories this month when my laptop suddenly decided to die on me. 
So unless I want to risk exposing my interests while doing my work on my parents' computer, I'm stuck until I get enough money for a desktop. Not just any, though. Have a couple of announcements. First, I'm planning to release what is not a UtM sequel (yet), but a companion story on the other side of the portal that takes place on Nightmare Night, involving Starlight Glimmer doing what she does best--trying to help her new friends but magically screwing things up and subsequent attempts to fix things only making it worse. It will be a corruption-themed fic every bit as adult and fetish-fuel as Unleash the Magic, and as it takes place on Nightmare
With two sections written and looking very good if I do say so myself, the new Nightmare Night chapter should be available by the weekend. It all depends on how fast I can get the climactic and critical third section done, and my prereaders can get to it.

I have four clop chapters ready for release and two more in progress, with yet another that is to be guest-written by good friend and prereader AJ_Aficionado, at least in part. So plenty of content is incoming. As you can see, the finished chapters are already lined up and ready for launch:

The next Unleash the Magic - Nightmare Night chapter is well underway and, as promised, on track for a Halloween release. It currently stands at around 4100 words and is likely to be upwards of 7k or better before all is said and done. No preview this time, as reading over it now, I don't see much I could just pull out for a teaser, and I think this is one time I'd rather everyone come in cold anyway.
At 7k words already, Part 19 might even be draft complete this weekend. Expect this chapter to be alternating between the confrontation between Nightmarity and Eclipse, and the scene back at Canterlot High as a fleeing and frightened Trixie arrives. There will be some adult action, but mostly just scene-setting this time.
Titled "Command Corruption", it's become a doozie, in the immortal words of Pinkie Pie 
, and once again borrows heavily on AJ_Aficionado's too-good-not-to-use thestral lore as the Canterlot Castle Command Center is corrupted and converted, with all the M-rated action it implies.
We have a 9500 word chapter thus far, tentatively titled Lunar Lust, and it's a doozie. I promised to take Luna to the very edge of temptation, and this chapter does indeed deliver that. Be warned it may also rustle some jimmies, not so much for what happens but for admissions of what happened in the past. Needless to say, Luna has very good reason not to allow herself to fall into darkness again or be corrupted by this curse. So, will Nightmare Moon herself appear, you ask?

I’ll start with the former: Following a bout with severe stomach pain a couple weeks ago (which turned out to be bad gas but distended my gut enough to strain some of the area muscles), I have been diagnosed with hypertension—high blood pressure—and thus far I’m having trouble bringing it under control.
