Needless to say, I'm back.
And I recall one time I wrote in some chapter in Stolen Technology that I was losing the enthusiasm but I would keep going. 
I take It AAAALL back! The flow is back and full force, constantly writing new chapters for the biggest story I've written so far. 
As in be a setting at least a decade into the future. I've been thinking about where I was taking the plot of the story and it just require to have the story take place sometime in the future of the FiM universe. The number one huge reason being that virtual technology exists within the story, something mostly perceived as a futuristic thing. Secondly, with the canon technology status of Equestria being mildly inconsistent, going from horse chariots to the FlimFlam brothers' magical steampunk

So, I have set my character on a quest, and will head him toward the city.
I have been considering some details: I have settled on an approximate date of 350 AE for the start of this story. This raises the question of the general level of technology in the Northeast U.S. at the time. The farm described is pretty much pre-Industrial Revolution, or at least the beginning of it. As an outlying rural area, that seems appropriate: but what of the city?
First of all, if you follow "The Iron Horse" and haven't read up through the end of "Giggle at the Ghost in the Machine, Part 4," then you might want to wait before reading this. If you have, then carry on.
So, down to business! Let's talk about our favorite giant-ass sunny horse demi-goddess, Princess Celestia, and the role she's played in the story so far.

The latest updates that you have made to your phone software make it really less user-friendly. Sort of like the constant YouTube updates which make it harder and harder to use. My own new phone has no headphone jack. I guess 2017 means that you’re a caveman if you like the older, corded headphones still. Bluetooth doesn’t sound as good and is a pain in the ass to hook up? Much of my work - like The Iron Horse or the recent "Spirit of Radio" - deals with the impact of technology on society. A very recent story here on the site takes this theme and creates a beautiful tale of change and hope as well as of loss and nostalgia. It's quite short and very readable, so I highly recommend this tale
