"Scenes From A Hat" premiers this weekend! · 8:29pm Jun 4th, 2021

Just as an update from my previous announcement, my new anthology story will be coming out shortly! (Probably Sunday... my internet modem got fried in a summer lightning storm, so I'm updating this on my phone.) The anthology will contain 6 or 7 bite-sized stories and there will be more to come as time goes on! It will also feature some more cover art from my longtime collaborator Greenfinger, and may even have some guest stories from other authors. I think you all will really enjoy it, so keep

A Recently Written Poem · 8:44am Jul 15th, 2023

I have written this poem recently. Hope you like it.

Unicorns or Unique-Horns?
The terrace was quite high,
Almost touchin' the sky.
Lookin' up, to see clouds,
Weather's nice, safe and sound.
Rosy wings, unfurling wings,
Glowin' up, as she sings
Up in the sky.
Whatever I see, are so high...

Unicorns, with a stride,
Our horns are our pride,
What we do, unicorns,
Are done with the magic in our horns.
So we better gotta go up high
Into the endless vast blue sky,

Just some ideas I like to imagine would be the case (you can probably thank Earthsong9405, Lopoddity, WanderingPegasus, a few other artists on dA, and Tiny Sapient Ungulates for some of them; others are of my own creation, or at least occurred to me

Speculation and Worldbuilding: Pony Cultural Foods · 12:26am Sep 28th, 2015

For today’s worldbuilding exercise, let’s look at something that is at once universal and distinctive. Everyone eats food. At the same time, eating unfamiliar food can be a very alien experience. Food is a big part of cultural and geographic identity. Real life cuisine has countless gradations and variations. The ingredients and resources available give each real life culture a distinct history and evolution.

“2, 4, 6 Greaaat” Pre-analysis and Warning · 12:43pm Aug 10th, 2019

---Season 9--Episode 15---
Firstly, gotta love how they conveyed passive aggressive sarcasm with just one word in their episode title.

But I’ve also seen enough of today’s setup to know what some Bronies, on this website at least, are going to be questioning. Regardless of the episode’s moral, characterization or execution:

Hearth's Warming Extra Tidbit 2: Cerberus Plains · 7:25pm Aug 29th, 2018

Sorry, this came in a little late, I've had a bit of a bad day. Now we have the next of tidbits, the one is important not just because it is such a beautiful place, (I'm planning on showing off much more later), but because this will be the center of a lot more of the story after the first season, from battle with the unicorns to pegasus, particularly the battles with the earth ponies, a lot of it will be happening in these beautiful plains. This also a good way to get a feel for the map of

Read It Now Reviews #51 – The First Rain of Spring, Any Other Business, The Problem with Pegasi, Hey Jealousy, babytails · 10:33pm Sep 8th, 2015

I hope you all had a good Labor Day weekend! Sorry for the relative dearth of reviews lately; I’ve been trying to get some stuff written, as well as review stories for the Writeoff. But I’ve been cheating on my writeoff reviews with reading some other stories as well, either recommended to me or written by folks that I follow.

Today’s stories:

The First Rain of Spring by CalmNQuiet
Any Other Business? by Ghost of Heraclitus

A couple weeks ago, Prak invited me to join The Royal Guard, a group whose purpose is to highlight good stories on the site, but which has not made a site post in quite some time. They were being reorganized, and Prak was looking for people with reviewing experience to drag onto the team.

Naturally, I got drafted.
