Perspective. It's important.
I'll be honest, part of me right now simply wants to link that wonderful scene from Pixar's Ratatouille wherein Anton Ego sits down for a meal and orders "perspective." Mostly just because it's a fun scene, and Anton is such a fun character. I mean, his nickname is "The Grim Eater," what's not to love about that?
When I was younger, there was a point in my life where I was really, really into dissecting the games I played. And I don't just mean in story. I took those games apart. I learned to open and edit .ini files to put campaign-only units into skirmish games, or how to break the game in ways that designers never anticipated. I dove into the files. I put games through the wringer.
So today while i was off work and with my friends, I was playing Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 edition and all was going great today. We hit the point to where we could prestige and go into prestige classes. I chose to become a dragon rider from one of the off brand books the DM allowed, and by am I having fun with my juvenile Blue Dragon.
So here we go, part 2.
How can I get the comics?
You have a few choices when it comes to buying and reading them. The first is of course to buy the issues in print. But since the main series alone is on it's 51st issue now after years, that could be a little difficult. You can also catch up with them as digital comics, sold by Comixology.

Hey everyone! Welcome back to this week's Being a Better Writer post, which as you may have noticed, is a little late.
Welcome back, everyone! I'm sure many of you wondered where I was yesterday, since BaBW is primarily a Monday -specific post. Rest assured, all is well. I just had a shift at my other job yesterday that was all day. Didn't seem worth posting once more that I wasn't going to be able to post due to that since I'd already given enough warning that such was going to happen, so I figured most would be okay enough if I left things for today.

Here's a rough key to my connected stories so far:
Shining Armor/Cadance trilogy (Manic Trixie Dream Girl/Rendezvous in the City of Sin/The Wet Quartet) The first fics I ever wrote for this site, about Cadance letting Shining Armor blow off some steam with other mares while she meets with Fleur de Lis who's acting as a spy for Celestia. Naturally very rough as it was my early work, but I still have a fondness for it.
As New World becomes more and more popular, we are going to talk about the market in this article and some hot items that you definitely need to pay attention to. Now, we just want to say up front, because of the price variation of these items you are not going to be buying a bunch of these off the market. Hey, first blog post on here. So as I write my first story on here, I'm going to be integrating bits of comic canon into it. Now I know that lots of people read the IDW MLP comics, but I know there are probably those that don't. Reading the comics won't be required for reading my fanfic, not at all. But the fact is that I love the IDW comics and I want to be able to share that with others who might not have taken a look at them.
I created a bookshelf which is named "How to not write a story"
Wich is exactly how it's sounds: A story list where each element gets a bad story.
Some it's only inconsistent plot but get worse and worse, to the point you don't even know how this abomination had passed moderation.
Initially, it was only just for me as a reminder of how bad a story can be if i don't have the enough careful, but I thought someone can use it too for that purpose, so I made it public.
