It's looking pretty polished by now and coming in not far short of 13k words, though I keep tweaking it here and there. Even once the preread is in, there'll be a one-day delay so I can create the T-rated version of it. I don't like to do that until I'm satisfied the main R-rated/M-rated version is finished, in order to minimize edits or changes that would otherwise have to be done to two versions of text instead of one.

The former was coming frustratingly slowly as I couldn’t seem to find the correct angle for it, while the latter was coming quite quickly. I’m happy to say the pain is slowly subsiding, and with it, the need for painkillers, though I still need a modicum of them to eat anything more than a protein shake. I made some spaghetti and meat sauce yesterday and ate it rather gingerly, in very small pieces. Might have been a mistake because my throat felt raw and inflamed afterwards, probably from the acid in the tomatoes.

I launched Harmonic Resonance yesterday, and I’m honestly stunned by how poorly it did. Equestria Girls clopfics usually do well, or so I thought; I truly believed this was a surefire feature. I’m honestly not sure what I did wrong in terms of marketing it, either in the story description or the groups I added it to. If anybody has thoughts, feel free to share them.

I find the words for it coming a lot more readily than Harmonic Resonance, whose climactic chapter remains unfinished at a whopping 16k words and is very likely at this point to be broken up again. But I’ll address that separately, as C&C appears to be giving me the break from HR I need.

Because I’m ill. I started getting sick last Monday and by Wednesday I was down hard with a severe cold. Not COVID, and not the flu, but maybe it was that RSV thing that’s been going around. I’ve only been slowly getting better, taking two and a half sick days off from work, but sleeping has been an apnea-filled adventure at times with my nose so stopped up, and my energy has been very low. As a result, despite all the time off, I haven’t been writing much.
