Several exciting updates to share! Firstly:

Happy fall, yall!

Secondly, as the odd title implies, we have shed the savage ties that bind me to the binary realm--ie., I just put out a paperback book!

What A Week · 5:19am Apr 4th, 2020

This week has been... Well, overwhelming. Not in the way last week was, but more... like with some life stuff.

For starters, my Mom struggling with her technology was a big thing. I'm trying to give her support because she's teaching from home, but I had to do a lot of her work for her and getting told that I wasn't doing it fast enough or not doing it right multiple times by my dad (who was observing and has no clue what her work entails technology wise), was incredibly frustrating.

Thank You · 12:12am Feb 17th, 2021

CW’s for the story heavy depression themes, self harm and self harm scars and unhealthy coping mechanisms.

I don’t really know how to start, but I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for reading Beyond The Frayed Threads and thank you guys for all the support for it.

When the contest and the prompts were announced, I only had one thought for a story; Moondancer going to a spa.

The Reason · 6:47am Apr 17th, 2020

Well, this story was certainly an experience. It's always interesting when one of the voices in my head decides to speak up and make me pen their word fountain for them, and then insists that I post it or they will not shut up. Last time that happened actually it was with my voice named Mia and the story she prompted me to write was "Into The Mirror" which, Ironically, made it to the top of the featured page.

Update Version 11.2 · 1:24pm Dec 14th, 2019

BLUF: New Chapter soon, author notes edited, momentum staying course.

Hey all! I finished the writing for the next chapter so expect that to come out soon. I'm aiming for around Sunday evening and no later than Tuesday afternoon. I also went back and "fixed" the author notes in Part 1. No need to go and reread them as they're nothing more than song references similar to those found in part 2's ANs. Remember that super long one at the end of "Just Wing it"? It's completely kaput now.

Behind The Story: Neon Moon · 4:06pm Jun 5th, 2020

6 of you read this story? Well, I consider it one of my best works. As I've said, how proud I am of something I wrote seems to inversely correlate with how many people actually read the thing. I appear to have hit an all-time low.

Alright, so this story actually had the storyline planned out beforehand. It was like two sentences, but it was a plot synopsis.

This story obviously came from Neon Moon by Brooks and Dunn. The way I found that song is a bit unusual, however.

Just a sequel to... Just a Bat, a Bat on the Hunt for Headpats! · 2:49am Oct 15th, 2020

You guys liked LOVED the first one so much, so I thought I'd go ahead and make a follow up. It's not a huge fully fleshed out story, but it IS a cute side story that leaves more room open for the characters again. Nailah was hosting another speed write on her discord, a speedwrite themed to bats, which was the perfect excuse to write more cute bat stuff, so I hope you all enjoy it!

September 13, 2014. Time: Night. I first messaged the wonderful person known only as KiltedKey. It didn't take long before I realized that I had a massive crush on him. At the time I thought it an impossible thing, considering he was dating someone else at the time.

And now, against my wildest expectations and hopes, I have the wonderful joy of being in a relationship with him :pinkiehappy:

Long time, no see. · 4:18pm Jul 24th, 2015

What up, everypony? Sorry I've been away and almost 100% incommunicado, but a lot of stuff has been happening to me lately. I have a motorcycle now, baseball season is in full swing (which eats up plenty of time, but that's sports, man)—but that's all so much riff-raff. Here's the meat of what matters to you all:

For an Author: Happiness is… · 5:56am Dec 14th, 2015

I write this sitting with a hot mug of ginger tea on a rainy last day of Hanukkah, contemplating miracles. Not being particularly religious—holidays are an ethnic tradition for me and not a ritual—I realize nonetheless that something has changed for me this year for the good.

Writing.

I am writing fiction again! As a published science fiction and fantasy writer—by avocation—who quit the profession, this is indeed a miracle.

700 Followers! And Some Canadian-Style Grumbling.. · 5:08pm Feb 2nd, 2016

Holy! Here we go again. 700 followers! Thank you all very much for the support. Now I’m going to do something very un-Canadian-like… explain a few things that irk me about stories and authors on this site—not as an excuse to target individuals (because I really don’t have any to list), but more of a ways to make sure I never end up doing what I list. Here we go!

Yeah, about that. Shadow of the Underground is basically... dead. My hype for the game is long gone and I'm into the next hype like everyone else. I wish it could've been different.
