I have made some progress on chapter 4 but at this moment i'm stumped. Ch4 is being written a bit differently since it's the first chapter with Colgate being around for more then a hooffull of paragraphs..
But i'm not sure if I should use this method for the entire chapter, or only part of it.
It's that time of year again, friends.

You are absolutely sure that there are no side effects and that the pill will do exactly what it's supposed to do if you swallow it—It would increase your IQ for life.

How's it been going, guys? I don't have much of an excuse for why I'm getting slow on updates in my fics, mostly because my new job has been making me stress out and exhausted by the time I get home. Sure I still had more time the rest of the afternoon/evening before I start again in the next one, but don't you ever just not want to do anything after having such a shitty day? Even when I do want to write, ideas either come and go, or I feel like focusing more on one story than the other, and
I'm antsy about keeping my story in secret for after I have at least few chapters done and edited, instead of releasing the first chapter as soon as it's finished... I just want the feedback! I want to share it with the world, for better or worse!
That's why I'm asking you, all my... Six followers... Huh, not too big of an audience. Oh well.
For the last 8 months (I can’t believe how fast this year has gone!) I have barely been reading or writing. A constant tied of other commitments, work, studying and other such distractions has occupied my time. In the moments where I do get a chance to breath and start reading or writing, I often fail to do so. Instead it’s far easier to watch meaningless YouTube or play games. It’s not work, it’s relaxation.
A week ago today I woke up with a desire to change that.
I lied. It’s clickbait. It’s really Fanfiction Reading Update #180. There’s enough political shit and wanting to start civil wars in everyone else’s blog posts. Go read theirs or Knighty’s, which started all this, if you want to dive into what will eat the next six months of this site’s life. I, meanwhile, will talk about horse words one last time before the partisans knock down my front door.
Rumble was a bit of a pain in Marks and Recreation. 
If the Crusaders’ hadn’t made a safe place to be Cutie Mark-less, perhaps he might have been the subject of ridicule. 
Diamond Tiara might not be a bully anymore, but I doubt she’s the only one in Equestria. 
Finally, I have breathing room again! ... Just as long as I don't get writer's block.
So, I sent the last two weeks really hammering at the old word processor during the winter break and I made some great strides.
Just a reminder, Chapter 22 of The Wayfarers -Marching Order- has been out now for a few days. If you haven't read it yet, maybe stop by and do so.
In this chapter, we see the start of a long trek to central Equestria for two of our black sheep.

That's how many words Chapter 24 for What They Expect to Give currently has. That's about 38 pages. And I'm still not done.
I did KINDA find a natural stopping point about 3-4k words ago, but I'd rather just get it out as one update. I've been kinda wanting to reach this point since I first started this story. Er, I mean, I want to reach all the things I've been planning for this story, but this was a huge milestone I reached. I didn't want to break that up in parts.
I'm slowly piecing together ideas for Behind Him, Chapter 8, so I just wanted to let everyone know that I've finally started working on that chapter.
I finally have a direction for Chp. 4 of “Behind Him”, so I’m really hoping I can publish the chapter by the end of the month! This time, I’m going to publish the chapter across all the other sites I post onto on the same day, so the publication process might take longer than normal. All I really need to do for Chp. 4 is to add some more dialogue and do some editing, then it’ll be finished.
