So I found a thread talking about FIMfiction, and they happen to have a list of stories they recommend as a place to start,

I can personally say The Best Night Ever, Hard Reset, Mendacity, and Arrow 18 are all great fics, so the list is promising to me. Consider checking a story you haven't read, especially if it's in a genre you favor.

With season 5 over, it is time for people to release their reaction fics. I expect that this season finale will be fertile ground for fanfics for many months to come. I myself have some ideas, but I am going to try and push out a lot of stories I’ve got in my pipeline first.

Of course, there’s another writeoff coming up in just a few weeks, so maybe it won’t be such a long delay after all…

Well, it seems folks are pretty happy with My Fluttering Heart on the whole. It was fun coming up with a personality for a seven-and-a-half year old Flurry Heart, as well as packing as much foreshadowing into Flurry Heart’s perspective as I could. Why? BECAUSE PINK TAGOVER. I was looking over my stories, and they all have Drama tags. Most stories, with the exception of Slice Of Life, have drama tags on them. Is this a good thing? What do you think?

If you want to spread the Pink Cloud over all of FiMFiction, try and tag all of your stories with Drama (unless they aren't dramatic, in which case don't, because the mods will come to my house and eat all o' my tacos)

I suppose it is often easier to read a spate of recent stories than to attack the long stories that seem to heavily populate my high priority shelves, definitely not because I procrastinate on reading them…

But, well, this time I decided I’d read a couple of ~10k word recent stories, in addition to some shorter ones. We’ll see how it goes!
