I Know This Is Old But I Love This So Much

Nothing except to remind myself that despite being recently diagnosed with high blood pressure (for which I’m on medication and have altered my diet), my heart is strong and stamina is growing. I can do a 10k with ease now, I hit 8.22 miles today without a problem, and I may consider seeing if I can run a half-marathon (13.1 miles) before long.

Yes, chapters, as with the total length of this thing now approaching 24,000 words, I’m going to have to break it up one last time. That’s just too long for an adult chapter, even a climactic one. And yes, even one chock full of lore and worldbuilding goodies.

The new chapter is closing on 11k words, and it might well be up over 15k when all is said and done. Too far past that, and I’ll have to think about breaking it up again. I’ve gotten close to finishing the first and last (fourth) sections, with the second section at 70% done and the third, about 30%. But the third is in some ways the most crucial, given that’s where you’re going to learn what’s going on elsewhere in the Kingdom and just where/when/how the Cloven struck.

The next chapter of Nightmare Night now stands at 6500 words, with four completed sections and two half-finished ones. The latter, to little surprise, are the CMC scenes. They were coming along agonizingly slowly until I found the proper angle for them. Like Rarity, they needed proper treatment that respected their characters and even let them shine. Is that possible here? Based on what I came up with, yes! But no spoilers there.
