The 100th episode was glorious. It was basically pure unadulterated fun, and that was more or less the entire point. It was a celebration of the fandom and the show and the fact that everyone loves these characters. I'm hearing a lot of reports of the old phantom of "panda rings" and people complaining it lacked plot and I just kind of wonder why they care. It was a montage of brilliant moments, funny characters, and a love letter written not just to fans but THIS fandom. What we do, who we
Yes, despite my sickened state, I am still going to give a review. I don't know if there's anyone who hasn't seen or heard about the episode yet, but I am still going to put a page break so that way nothing is spoiled.
No. Critique’s thoughts echoed in his mind as he combed shelf after shelf looking for the perfect story to review. It was a chore that he had been working all week. And yet, he was no closer than when he started.
Hey fellas. It's been... Good God, it's been a long, long time since I've done one of these. Maybe more than a year, maybe less, I don't know, but I haven't devoted a review to a blog post in forever. Mostly, this is because I've not really felt compelled to do reviews. I'm pretty selective about what I read, and as a result I've shied away from the review formats of guys like JohnPerry (who actually moved on from feature box reviews out of depression/lack of time) and RainbowBob (who just
Windows 10 is here!
... almost. Still haven't gotten my notification for download yet. I'm hoping it will come sometime over the weekend so I can devote my time to getting that installed. Got my fingers crossed it doesn't take out everything on my harddrive.
Let's see if it gives me an advantage over Windows 7. For certain other advantages, check below the break.
Windows 10... !
Is not here. Haven't gotten the notification yet. Must. Wait. Moar.
Below the break, a guy finally gets to speak his mind after 1,000 years of waiting.
The first time I saw Amending Fences, I didn't get the significance of Spike saying "Here's the rest of it", and so his picture at the end seemed like a deus ex. But I caught it and that's actually very clever. Also, for as much as I can sympathize with Moondancer and her desire to confess her love to Twilight at that party, I think Minuette is really my favorite new pony from that episode.
So... This was kind of a weird month for me. I've been really thinking about my own past and what it means for certain of stories that I'm writing and the characters therein. Especially with the release of the latest chapter of The Last Vacation, when something everyone has guessed long since by now gets revealed, and Twilight faces a difficult choice.
In case anyone out there is wondering, I try to space out these Fic-A-Minutes by author and genre. I don't want to post up every story by one author in a single month, nor all the adventure stories that I've read. This way I can keep you all guessing. Now that I've covered most of the early, fandom defining stories, this is a lot easier. There's still plenty to come, so I hope you all enjoy the upcoming story briefs.
Every so often, you see a film that simply defies any semblance of logic or sanity, and Eraserhead is possibly the crown jewel of WTF Cinema.
Lot of bummer celebrity deaths in the news lately. But hey, at least there's hope that season six will come out sooner than we expected. That balances things, right?
In other news, Rarity has Twilight's back all below the break.
Okay in all honesty I actually saw this like...a week ago or so, so some of the finer elements of the movie's plot may have faded from my mind, but I still feel I can accurately sum up my overall feelings towards this film...
It sucked.
Spoilers Ahead
Equestria Legends of Everfree , in English is the fourth in Equestria Girls and wrote by Kristine Song and Joanna Lewis. It starts the usual voice actors from the previous film, so no need to get into that. I will say I was expecting a Gravity Falls rip off, but it wasn’t thankfully. It was, well, let’s just get into it.
Okay, confession time folks: When I first saw this episode title (but it's synopsis wasn't released yet) I legitimately thought that this was going to be a strictly Fluttershy and Discord episode and exploring specifically how Discord sees Fluttershy in all her little ordinary acts:3
But curse you writers with your misleading episode titles!:0
