Hi, yes, hello. It's been a good long while since I came around here. First off, I'm still alive. Not sure if I'm sad or happy about that, but here I am. Those of you who placed your bets on my death, put the money back in the pool.
It's been a while since I've done this (years, I believe), but it's also been ages since my last update, and I keep thinking of more details to add to this chapter, ever extending past my own deadline. 
As such, here's a short preview that I hope can tide you guys over for the next 1-2 weeks whilst I finish up. I don't want to reveal too much, but hopefully the first few paragraphs should at least give you all an idea of the chapter's tone.

I don't like making update posts; I usually find them to be too light on content, and if the projects they showcase don't come to fruition it creates extra disappointment. It's been a while since I posted anything on this account though, so I'll make an exception.
I'm working on a new story. It takes place in the same continuity as A Canterlot Breeding; after Chrysalis gets caught by the guards and such, Celestia decides to personally "rehabilitate" her (if you get my meaning).
So, I felt bad about not updating for a while, so I figured you guys deserve a preview. Keep in mind that it's still a WIP, there might be some grammatical and punctuation errors, and it cuts off abruptly. So, with that in mind: ENJOY!
I'm back.
Ok, I was never truly gone. I've been here almost every day reading other peoples' stories. BUT, I have finally started writing again.
Yes, I now have a setup where I feel comfortable writing again. Instead of a tablet I have... well, it's still a tablet, but it has a nice physical keyboard that isn't a hassle to connect to.
Now, for the bad news.

This one was a long time in coming. This chapter's first scene was originally written for another story and may end up being used again in that story, which takes place in the real timeline, once Nyx, Derpy and Doctor Whooves fix time. It's a short preview, but intense. Enjoy!
Aiming for a weekend release. I'm sorry I've gone incognito, but work has been a royal bitch lately, even more so than The Nightmare. No joke, I updated my resume this weekend and put it out looking for feelers. I'm going to try to find a new job.
But... that doesn't stop me from working on the new chapter, which is probably going to be around a nice even 10k words. 7k plus already written, and here's the opener...
Hey everypony! Sorry about the late update. 
Since I’ll be gone over Memorial day weekend (Yay FanimeCon!) 
I thought I should at least do a little update so I don’t miss two weeks of updates. 
And I decided I wanted to do something I don’t normally do, and give you a little preview of the start of my next story. It’s unedited, so it may be a little rough- but I hope you enjoy it!

As we take yet another spin around the sun, I am focusing on the road ahead and its potential. Places to go, people to see, things to do, and fics to write. My output the past few years hasn't been great, but I'm still here and still doing my best to put out quality fanfics for the discerning enthusiast of fictional multi-coloured equines.
So, the next chapter of Operation Echo Solace will be coming sometime soon. As such, here's an update of what to expect, some changes I've made, and a few other things.

Or even sooner if all prereads are in and everybody’s happy, most notably the original commissioner. After reading what I had, he asked me to extend the main sensual scene further, so I did, adding another 1800 words to it. Now waiting for his input, and that of prereaders, who have promised to get to the story today. In the meantime, I’ve readied the story for launch:
