"Stallion of Tomorrow" Status Update · 7:27pm Feb 25th, 2021
Hey all. Just making a little post here to let you know how things are going and to address a few things.
Hey all. Just making a little post here to let you know how things are going and to address a few things.
Alright, so for those of you who are unaware, there was a strange error when I published chapter 2 of Stallion of Tomorrow yesterday; somehow the publication date for both it and the previous chapter were listed as having taken place last December. I don't know how this happened, but as a result it didn't show up in the Latest Updates bar, and likely not in your feeds outside of the blog post I made.
Stallion of Tomorrow is getting NFTs! For just a few hundred dollars, you can own your very own...pfft, nope. Couldn't finish that with a straight face.
Anyway, uh, Happy April Fool's Day everyone. Trust nobody.
And I'm still writing.
I've been a Superman fan for quite a long time, and earlier this year, I went and did my own personal redesign of the classic Superman costume, drawing influences from the comics, movies, and a few other redesigns I've seen around.
I consider this one of the finest moments in the Man of Steel's history. Allow this comment to explain:
I already love almost everything about this so far. This is almost exactly how Dawning Hope would sound and look were he human. Very much looking forward to this. :)
Stallion of Tomorrow returns this weekend.
No, this isn't another joke post like April Fools', this is for real. After six months, Supermane is finally making his return to Fimfiction this Saturday.
Look up, True Believers. :)
You know, I think I have a thing for origin stories, or ones that show people early in their careers. I like seeing characters making themselves known for the first time and laying the groundwork for who and what they are.
Seeing fan art of Superman kicking the snot out of Homelander always puts a smile on my face. But I've yet to find any art of Red Son's Superman doing it, so I made some myself.
UPDATE: Got bitten by the writing bug and whipped up a short vignette for it.
I know this is a bit unusual, making a "thank you" post so early on, but I just wanted to take a moment to thank everybody who's stopped to read Stallion of Tomorrow and for all the positive feedback I've gotten so far.
Picked up Tom King's Superman: Up In The Sky back in January and it very quickly became one of my new top favorites in my collection.
Superman I:
Batman: You flew around the earth so fast you turned back time?
Superman: Yeah, but it all worked out in the end. NP, am I right?
Batman: ...
Superman II:
B: So you and your girlfriend defeated those evil kryptonians only to wipe her memory of the event without her consent or permission?
S: I just thought she didn't need that on her conscience.
B: ...Uh huh.
Superman III:
B: Okay, your gonna have to repeat that.
I love Superman. Like, a lot. He's probably my favorite superhero ever (only Spider-Man comes close), and one of my favorite fictional characters ever. And for a while now, I've wanted to write up a Superman movie treatment of my own. Y'know, just in case Warner Bros. ever decides to reboot the main movie line, I can have this thing on-hand and save the day, so to speak. This is basically just a list I've compiled of certain things I'd do in my Superman story. Be warned, some
Featuring Jade Dawn's "Stallion of Tomorrow: 'Protector'"
Happy birthday, Jade! This is a story he's been working really hard on and it's a great read, especially if you're a Superman fan. This is only the first chapter, so be sure to check out the rest of it!
Faster than a speeding pegasus...
...more powerful than a locomotive...
...able to leap tall buildings in a single bound...
...the last colt of a lost world...
...the Stallion of Tomorrow.
Beginning January 15th.
Look up...
So you know how I said a couple blog posts ago that there may be something Stallion of Tomorrow-related coming soon-ish?
Well...
Randomly wrote this up a while back. I wanted to write something that I felt like Clark would say as an explanation for why he does what he does.
(reposted from the original Marvel/DC group as I now own a physical copy)
I've been playing with these designs for a while now, and today felt like a good day to publish them. Say hello to Claire Kent, Superwoman.
So late last year, I stumbled upon this article on a website called Book Riot, written by one S.W. Sondheimer.
And as a long-time Superman fan, I only have this to say. YES. To. ALL of this.
