Once again, I modified a couple of words in the last line of The Clarity of Darkness. The difficulty I've had has been riding the fine line between a tragic misinterpretation that I didn't think anypony would make, and total saccharine glurge. I think the change I've made is (finally) an effective compromise.
Hi all! I have some stuff to tell you guys. First up, new chapters on the 'CHS vs CPA vs MHS:Battle of the Bands story' will be put on hold for revising. You can thank DJZapApple for the editing. Next, Chapter 6 on 'All About Moonlight Sparks' will be posted either later or tomorrow. Depends on how busy I would be. So, now that things are settling down from the hurricane, I should probably get back to writing Displaced Into Nothing. I'm not expecting to finish Chapter 6 for a while though: I haven't really been thinking about it since last Wednesday, when things started to get scary: when the state governor tells you "Get out now. You will not survive." and the other 4 people in the house insist that there won't even be a hurricane, you don't think about niche My Little Pony fanfiction.
So I spent about 2 & 1/2 hours last night listening to Pontiff Sulyvahn's theme from Dark Souls III and hammering through all the changes that the EQD pre-reader wanted me to make. Most of them are little mechanical and syntax fixes that you probably wouldn't even notice unless you were looking for them, but the big one I worked on was expanding the scope of Starlit's "vision" from about half-way through the chapter. So that story I alluded to in a previous post - I've finished transcribing it, and have begun editing it.
Chapter 2 has been revised, which means only Chapter 3 and then I'll put up all the revisions at once. I had to change more for this one than for Ch. 1 because there were a few things that I didn't like on a second read through. Mainly, Sweetie Belle's little speech has been changed to be a little more age appropriate for her vocabulary, and Rarity's reaction has been toned down to boot (it did seem a little over the top, after all.)
Hello, this is mostly just me ranting. TL;DR is I'm going to finish Honorary Crusader, take a break and come back to revise the earlier chapters at some point after doing a few new projects. I'm planning on sticking to a one chapter per week schedule.
I'm finally figuring out how to make these chapters more readable and easy to understand.
On amiamera's suggestion, within a month or so, maybe after I finish the comparatively short Arc 2, I'm going to rewrite or add more stuff to make Arc 1 seem less jumbled and incoherent. I dealt with writer's block at the time by jumping to different targets, and made the story have that rather disorienting hopping around all over the place, and doesn't seem to contain that much Cycle himself despite being an above average importance character.
Revisions for Wandering Through Realities, Prologue: "Truth or Tale" and Chapter I: "Enter the Infinite" has been completed.
REVISIONS INCLUDE:
(1) Adrolon has been given more thought process as well as speech in Chapter I, deepening his character.
So, thought I'd give you a little progress report on Chapter 5 of The Chance of a Lifetime. I got a pretty heavy ways into it, but then the little editor in me pulled a neuron and made me look over it and decide that the chapter I was writing would do better further down the line of the plot, so I scrapped it for 5 and started over from scratch. I'm getting back around to the length I was at on what is now going to probably be Chapter 8, but it'll probably be a bit before I have it
So, as I was having my friend read through my newest chapter he happened upon a pretty monumental boo-boo where I accidentally left the original text from part of the "Twilight's Prejudice" scene in there, leading to what is essentially a doubling of the same block of text. This has since been rectified

After reading Longtalons I decided to significantly edit a lot of things regarding Gritt and Crimson, especially Chapter 12. I went into writing The Storm intending to make it as cohesive with other stories as I could, so these edits go towards that goal of world-building consistency.
So, I sort of went on an unannounced, unplanned hiatus because life happens. And while I'm not back yet (maybe soon?), I did do a little revision on An Eternity Divided.

I never thought I'd do this, but I've made a moderately substantial alteration to a published chapter. In the originally posted version, Rarity indicates that she learned from Nyx how to affect the strands of Beauty, and use it to make Dido release Trixie and the other Benevolencians.
If anyone actually sees this and is interested, I’ve gone back to Learning to Live Again with some revisions. A few scenes have been added, some chapters combined, and some tweaking here and there to plot lines that I felt were messy.
If anypony is interested in reading my story again, I would love to hear what you think of the additions and changes.
