*Squiming* “No! Lemme go you nimrod!”
“Just pick up your toys! It’s not that hard!”
“That’s what she said...” *giggles immaturely*
“Hero!!”
“Heh, suffice to say that those toy soldiers have more IQ then you.”
“Grr... Raaaagh!” *Storms out in a huff*
“Heh, nice.”
“Ugh, about time the queen finally let us come back here,” Pharynx grumbled as he and little brother reached the interior of their bedchamber. He turned to Thorax, who was already climbing into his bed and huddling into the covers. “You need anything?”
The younger changeling remained silent.
“Good, because I ain’t got all night, and I especially shouldn’t have to waste the only six hours of sleep I usually get every night,” Pharynx said, about to climb into his own bed.
“P-Pharynx…?”
“So... what’s new?”
“Nothing really. Hive and Zenex vanished recently and we still can’t track them down.”
“Typical... what about Steel?”
“I... I dunno what he’s been doing really. I haven’t really talked to him in a while since that thing with the gun.”
“That’s understandable.”
“...Is it?”

“Pharynx? You still in here?”
The changeling in question turned around, sniffling; it was obvious he had been crying in the dark, empty room for a while.
Thorax trotted closer. “You still upset about Tempest?”
“Mhm...”
“Oh...” Thorax looked off to the side, before putting a hoof on his brother’s shoulder. “I’m sure if you talked it out with her, maybe—”
"Hey, dad...?"
"Yes son?"
"You, uh...aren't seriously considering marrying Steel, are you? I mean, aren't you older than him?"
"I'm not that much older than him Pharynx."
"...Dad. He's twenty three. Thorax and I are twenty one, and we turn twenty-two in May. He's practically our age!"
"What does age have to do with this Pharynx?"
“Sheesh, Bezzy... what was that all about?”
“You heard what happened back there. Ocellus blamed Oculus for something he had nothing to do with. I’m just so... pissed at her for it!”
“Look, I was as mad as you are when I found out, but it was just a mistake.”
“It was cherry chapstick, Pharynx!”

*sigh*
Takes place directly after this.
*Bezier stares in shock at the black screen of the phone, then looks up at Pharynx.*“How... how could you?!”
“Me? I was doing you a favor!”
“What favor?!”
“Well, what else was I supposed to do about that idiot—”
"Pharynx, what in the name of Elysium were you thinking?!"
"Dad, I-"
"No! Griff is heavily injured because you messed with him twice for no reason! I thought you and your brother were getting along with him, why would you do this?!"
"I didn't mean to send him out the window!"
“Thorax? Hey, there you are… listen, I’ve been meaning to ask you something.”
“Sure, Pharynx. What is it? Are you… not enjoying the Crystal Empire?
“Well, of course I am! I mean, it’s nice. The structures are impressive, the Crystal Faire was enjoyable and the ponies are… decent.”
“Hey, Bez...?”
“Hm?”
“Have you ever been mistaken for a man?”
“Sometimes...” *She smirks at him.* “Have you?”
*Pharynx’s eyes widened and he glared at Bez, who smirked back, before hurling a pillow at her. Hard.*
“...Ow.”
Bezier had never felt so dehydrated in her life.
She was currently walking down the streets on a dry, dry, Saturday night. It would’ve been a miracle if it had started raining right now.
Bezier looked up to see if she had jinxed it; unfortunately, she didn’t, so she just kept walking.
She stopped as soon as she came across a familiar cyan changeling sitting alone under a streetlight. Perhaps he could lend her a drink or two. Hopefully three. She was just that thirsty.
“Have you tried refreshing or something?”
“I refreshed a dozen times, and it’s still not working! I have 10 days to get this vector finished, Pharynx! I dunno how long this streaming site is gonna be down for!”
“Why not get the screenshot from Dailymotion or something?”
“Dailymotion doesn’t have 1080p! I want this to be high-quality!”
Pharynx growled, trekking through the woods. He was sent to find a certain nymph who’d snuck out of the hive. Again. “Hero! Come out! I don’t have time for this!”
Hero wasn’t too hard to find. He set up camp in the exact same spot everytime.
He eventually found said camp, where Hero was camping. He peeked into the tent, finding him sleeping (as usually) under the blankets. Completely under the blankets.
“Ugh... Hero.”
Pharynx lifted his head up when he turned to see Bezier sitting next to him. “...Hey.”
“Hey.”
“How’s it been?”
“Not great,” she admitted, sighing.
“Well... what happened?”
“It’s silly. You wouldn’t understand.”
“Of course I would, Bezzy. Just tell me anything.”
She looked at him, into his sparkling lavender eyes, almost getting distracted by them before sighing heavily. “It was the cake thing...”
He blinked. “What cake thing?”
