Well, I'm sure by now many of you have either seen the leaked English version from the Brazilian broadcast a week ago, or the official Netflix release that came out yesterday. For those of who you still haven't because you're waiting on the DVD release (there's no word on when or if it'll get a television broadcast):
The spoilers tag probably isn't warranted, seeing as the movie's been out on DVD/Blu-Ray for quite a while, not to mention digital media. But all the same there are those who probably haven't seen the movie yet for whatever reason. So I'd erring on the side of caution.

Just for the hell of it, I thought I'd share two movie write-ups I'd done in previous months on DA, about two wildly different DC Comics-based movies from last year.
I am referring, of course, to Shazam, and Joker.
Okay, let me come out and say it right out the gate: I'm *really* not a fan of Disney's current practice of releasing live-action remakes of their animated films. To me, the practice just screams either "lack of new ideas" or "blatant cash grab". And as a further point, I also raise my eyebrows at the thought of remaking such films as The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King to be in live-action; given either the lack of human characters/plethora of animal
The first movie I saw directed by Guy Ritchie was when I was in high school. The 2009 Sherlock Holmes movie with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law as Holmes and Watson. I personally thought the film was just all right (though I liked it more than my sister and father did), and while I saw the sequel later, I was never tempted to check out any of the director's other work.

I don't know at what point they started, but the Sci-Fi Channel (as it was called back then) used to run an event once a year where they'd play an anime movie each night for a week during the summer. It had gone on at least a couple years before I watched it, either because our cable package hadn't included the channel to that point or because I just wasn't aware they were doing so. This is your friendly film, TV show, and episode reporter once again here with another review.
And today, I'll be giving you all an analysis on a movie that I believe is perfect to celebrate April Fool's Day with:
"Big Fat Liar"
November was a very special month in terms of movies for me.
First, I got to see the original theatrical cut of Star Wars one weekend.
Then, the following week, I got to see one of my favorite Batman movies on the big screen as part of a special limited release. (More on that in another review.)
And finally, I got to see the movie that will be the final performance of Hollywood legend Robert Redford, who announced his retirement from acting.
Well folks, it's been a long, long, LONG time since I posted a movie review.
No really good reason for it. Just lots of little things - life, chores, my own laziness or reluctance... I've had thoughts I wanted to share about a number of movies I've seen, from Captain Marvel, Shazam and Endgame to John Wick 3 and even the new Dumbo. I must confess, I've been reluctant to share my thoughts on some of these movies, mainly the two newest Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. *shrugs*
Well, here it is everyone. (Finally.)
My thoughts on the final installment of writer/director M. Night Shyamalan's strange real-world superhero trilogy. Starting with Unbreakable and continuing with Split, the beginning of this year saw the conclusion to the story of Elijah Prince, David Dunn and Kevin Wendell Crumb.
Because all the cool kids are doing it!
I'll start off by saying this: I wasn't really planning on watching Equestria Girls. Since I'm not American, or even British, the chances of ever getting the movie in theaters here in original language are completely nonexistent, and I thought, if I'd see it, I do want to pay for it.
