Just a little one. Not much of an obstacle, when you think about it.
Just a little one. Not much of an obstacle, when you think about it.
I'm going to have an operation to fix my eyesight in December!
A big thank-you goes out to https://www.fimfiction.net/user/14342/xTSGx for a new, favorable and very detailed review of Rise of Firefly, though I have to say that opening picture really makes me grimace. Anyway, I would like to offer some very public thanks to the reviewer, as I greatly appreciate the thought and care that went into this... to say nothing of the new likes and faves I picked up on both the story and the sequel as a result!
Yeah, so I feel I owe you guys an explanation.
If you've read most of my stories, then you'll know currently, the only incomplete ones that I have are Patrilineality: Making Up For Time We Lost, Pride and Joy, and Behind the Flight Goggles.
I have plenty of ideas for the first to, but Behind the Flight Goggles...it's all up to date. I only have one chapter in progress of being written, Blaze in the Snow, but it's not finished and I don't know how to continue it.
It’s almost but not quite ready. I’m still working on its graphics. I’ve completed 15 separate images with a couple more still to do. Yeah, I’m going all out for this one, as befits such a climactic battle. But now there’s another problem:
First couple thousand words are down. I don't usually do teasers until it's lot closer to done, but this time I'll make an exception simply because it's been a while since there's been a new chapter. As mentioned before, it'll be a dual-track chapter with focus switching between two battle sites--Epsilon and Gamma/Raptor. We'll open with the former:
I've replaced the introduction from my original post with this one. After the body of the post (past the second HR), I've also included a selection of worthwhile comments from the discussion the post generated back in May 2017.
I can't take credit for this one, as it was suggested by John Perry, the scoundrel. For months I've tried coming up with something different but his idea worked the best.
So, take flight after the break.
Woohoo! I've finally done it, I have a stable job, though it's killer hours. Got stable pay finally. Once I've saved up enough I'm heading back to college.
But for now, I do plan on making updates, though the schedule will be iffy. For any of you that want to know what stories I'll be updating, Fallen, and Flight Of The Avali.
Fans of Into the Storm will be happy to know that there are not one but two new chapters underway, each with major sections guest-written (one by Leo Archon and another by AJ_Aficionado--thanks, guys!). At least one will be slated to launch on the story's two-year anniversary of September 1st.
As it happens, there are multiple pieces of good news and bad news on it.
As the saying goes, War Work is Hell, folks. I’ve been working extra hours every day this week and probably will do so next week as well, to support a software release for the end of this month that we’re not allowed to let slip. As a result, my writing time has been severely limited and I’ve only generated 3400 words on the new Firefly chapter so far.
Tentatively titled "Retribution", it's on track for a September 30 release as only the trailing section of 2-3k words remains to be written. No teaser this time, as reading through it now, it feels like anything I could offer would be giving too much away. It's time for a parley and it's also time for Firefly and her entire command to decide as one what they're going to do in the face of an ultimatum and overwhelming gryphon force.
Zipp discovered that she can fly.
Something is weird. Either Zipp talking to herself or Izzy flying. Then again, she's a Unicorn, she can do anything. We've also seen her fly before together with her box.
Who needs Pegassi? Unicorn master-race!
Izzy is happy to finally be able to die. She sees the ground coming toward her and says to it, "Hello, new friend!"
Whoa! My last FIM blog was in March? Didn't think it was that long.
Well, I haven't really gone anywhere. I've been mainly on the DA side of things working on a few things. However, there was one fic that I've mentioned here a few times already that I said I wanted to do. I'm at the juncture to where I'm nearly done with the first draft of this new story. What is it, you ask?
I was hoping to get one more chapter of... something out before the World of Warcraft paralysis set in but the hype has finally won out and overtaken everything else. The game comes out next Monday and I'm going to be tied up with that for the foreseeable future. I've got gold to farm and Horde filth to slay while I wait for my auctions to buyout. It's going to be nice being rich in Classic WoW at a time in the game's history when most players were dirt poor. I'll be back just not sure
Warning: Minor spoilers from the latest episode, Flight to the Finish, abound. Proceed with caution.
I have a bit of a confession here: I was never fond of the idea of Scootaloo being homeless. It can make for some interesting stories, but in a close-knit community like Ponyville, it just didn't sound right to me.
Crazy to think I'm on my final flight home from this trip. It's such a whirlwind. I never imagined it being over. It was one of those trips that just felt like it was going to be forever. But, there is a glimmer of hope here. I've talked to my husband and my parents and I might be moving down to Florida permanently! Not the same area as where my baby girl is, but still! I'd only be a few hours away from her if she needed me and I'd be right next to my Aunt and Uncle, so that would be awesome.
