Oh, dear. One sentence in, and we’re already adding to the Clinginess Meter.
I felt oddly buoyant as I walked from Spanish toward the cafeteria, and it wasn’t just because I was holding hands with the most perfect person on the planet, thought that was certainly part of it.

It’s the middle of the night, the storm has arrived, and Bella is freezing. Even with all her layers, she can’t stop her teeth from chattering. And she stutters almost every word a bazillion times:
“W-w-w-w-w-what t-t-t-t-ime is it?”
“I’m ok-k-k-k-k-k-kay.”
“J-J-J-J-Jake, you’ll f-f-f-freez-z-z-ze.”
These characters have ethics?
A few hours or so after the fight, Bella and Alice are still keeping up the sleepover story. Bella’s anxious to see Jacob, even though she knows he’s unconscious.
Each minute, not knowing if Jacob was still breathing or not, had seemed like ten lifetimes.

good news, I still hurt like hell, but no more than I have for the past 17 years. I'm back to writing again, though not nearly as fast as before, I am working on making longer chapters than I was, a common ask from you, my readers. So bear with me, the new chapter will be dropping sometime in the next few days.
I have about twenty stories going at once, but I'm grading this weekend. The semester's nearly over, however, so I'm probably going to publish a bunch of stories at roughly the same time. In all likelihood, I'll start doing this in a week or two, so be patient. 
That said, I have a little mystery to solve. 
Come the end of the party, Bella’s still panicking about the wolves joining in. She thinks they’re “just oversized, over-muscled children”, completely forgetting that they can turn into bear-size wolves and have already killed at least one vampire. She insists on Edward taking her to the werewolf-vampire meeting to try to calm her nerves.
In the opening paragraph, it’s mentioned that the youngest werewolves are only thirteen. Why didn’t anyone wolf out while the Cullens were hanging around? Maybe it’s not vampires that triggers the change, but hostility, since they started changing when the murderous Victoria started hanging around Forks. But that would be attributing intelligence towards this series.
It’s morning, and Bella’s packing for the trip to the middle of nowhere. There’s a cold storm coming, so she needs to pack warm clothes. She calls Jacob to tell him she’s ready, but Billy answers instead. He promises to pass the message along and wishes he could be out there with the wolves.
The urge to fight must be a defining characteristic of the Y chromosome. They were all the same.
Astronomy-nerd time. The titles of the books are obviously referring to elements of night. Presumably, one night. But a new moon happens when the moon is between the sun and the earth and very little of the light reflected from the moon reaches the earth. An eclipse (assuming it’s lunar, because solar eclipses don’t happen during the night; I shouldn’t have to clarify that, but with this series, you never know) is when the earth is between the sun and moon, blocking all light from the sun to
This morning’s eclipse was great fun. I wasn’t expecting to see much as it had been overcast for most of this week. But amazingly, just as the time of first contact approached, the sun broke through the clouds and we could see the moon move across the sun, covering 85% at the maximum point. The cloud actually acted as quite a good solar filter making it easier to take photos.
Guess what time it is! Well, okay, I guess it is five o’clock somewhere, but that’s not what I mean. Not only is it backstory time, but we get a truly fantastic entry in the Awesome Stuff That Twilight Never Uses Series!
Does anyone else live in a city which gets inundated with tourists at this time of year? Mine always has plenty, but it seems this year the weak pound has brought them out in greater numbers than usual. On some streets you can hardly move without running into a mass of Chinese, Japanese, Americans, Australians, Germans, Italians, and every other nationality as well as the usual British visitors. Bella wakes up in the morning. The storm’s blown itself out. Three solid pages of Edward and Jacob attempting to poison each other with testosterone before Jacob finally leaves. Ugh.
Pain crackled down my spine and lodged in my stomach as I abruptly realized that this could be the last time I would see him.

For some reason, Edward leaves before Jacob arrives. He says that, although he doesn’t feel any personal antagonism for Jacob, it’s easier for them. Whatever. As long as they’re not trying to out-macho each other, I’m good. Edward pops out and Jacob pops in. Jacob’s still shirtless, although we actually get an explanation this time: his clothes don’t change when he does, so keeping the number of clothing items down reduces the number of things he has to take off or replace when he gets wolfy.
In spite of Victoria being decapitated, Edward refuses to take chances and quickly dismembers her body. Once he’s done with that, he goes to Seth and helps him do the same with Riley. They gather all the pieces and burn them. Can’t fault them for being thorough, at least.
The thick smoke curled up slowly, looking more solid than it should; it smelled like burning incense, and the scent was uncomfortable. It was heavy, too strong.
Bella and Jacob start talking about Quil. If it sounds jarring coming from the end of the last blog, where they were talking about being human, well, it’s just as jarring reading it. Quil’s the most recent of the Quileutes to wolf out, and he’s ecstatic about it, between the strength, the speed, and the sense of family. Jacob mentions that he and Sam are the only ones who ever really felt bitter about being werewolves, and Sam got over that a long time ago. Bella asks what happened, and, hello,
The moment Bella leaves La Push, Edward’s tailgating her. She doesn’t stop, but continues to Angela’s house. This is the day she’d promised to help Angela with her graduation cards. Basically, they’re doing nothing more than stuffing envelopes and putting addresses on them. The thing is, Angela has a lot of family members; there are a lot of envelopes to stuff and address.
Surprise! Jacob’s the narrator of the epilogue. He manages to be even whinier than Bella. Way whinier. SERIOUSLY.
He and Leah are near a cliff somewhere. (No one’s jumping.) Although Jacob wants to be alone, Leah wants to talk to him, and he’s about as tactful as you can imagine:
“Jump off a cliff, Leah.” I pointed to the one at my feet.
