It seems inevitable that the unit of power in the Systemé Equestriané should be our old friend, the horsepower.

However, it also seems impossible that it’s the piddling seven-hundred-and-some watts that our horsepower is. Not unless we want to argue that Big “House-Dragger” Mac and Maud “Instant Erosion” Pie, among many others, are putting out many times the notional horsepower.

It only looks worse if we stick with Watt’s assumption that a horsepower was 150% of a ponypower.
