A minor note to World Building. I imagine that in the pony pov series verse, Griffinstone acts as a 'holy-land' of sorts for the griffins, being where they think the cradle of their civilization began... whether this is true or not is open for debate... Which kinda makes its decline into a heap that's barely a place let alone a kingdom without even its own currency (they use pony bits), and the local griffins having lost any sense of cultural identity, even more sad.

Ponies don't eat meat. So I guess they don't use leather either? Y'know, since that would require skinning something and making stuff out of a creature that's dead. (We'd hope it's dead, anyway. )

It's there. Believe me, like a third world nation, they have tech of almost 21st century level in many places of Equestria distributed sporadically and seemingly at random, side by side with elements of the past, or what we would consider "the past."
