I know I'm not the only person who thought this would be the make-it-or-break-it episode, as in a long-time fan would either love it (because of the pandering) or hate it (because of the pandering). Slice of Life was a celebration of the overwhelming creativity of this fandom. Of the passion and creativity that drives us as a community. How we can take a character who exists for a second on screen and weave numerous personalities and lives for them, all based around a frozen moment in time.

As I type this, there are two stories about the Changeling from the wedding scene in the feature bar.

That's right; He's Just A Kid is up and ready and well one of the main reason I wrote this is well this happen to me for so long in my life up to I was 17 years old. It was spectacular. Contained everything I could have hoped for.

It is literally packed full of references and nods to the fan base and it's nice to see our favourite characters getting some much needed screen time and a slight fleshing out. Also, I quite enjoyed the slight irony (or not but whatever) of the mane six being reduced to background pony status for this episode, like a role reversal kind of thing. [1]

I don't really know what to say; so I just try to write straight from my heart. I feel like I'm currently going through a depressive episode once again, but this one keeps effecting me pretty hard. Today marks the first anniversary of the unfortunate passing of my beloved mother due to complications of COVID-19 and infections in her heart, lungs, blood, kidneys etc.

That day will forever be a memory that I never forget as I had to see my beloved mother after the end of her time here on Earth one last time. So many things that I wish I had taken the time to do with her be it learning to cook her recipes, re-learning of how to sew etc.

Happy Easter everyone!

Also today is the 2nd anniversary that I lost my beloved mother to complications from COVID-19 and nasty infections in her heart, blood and fluids in her lungs.

I badly miss hearing her voice and giving her hugs. But I know that she's in a much better place now free of pain, worry and misery.

You know what, no.

Normally I have an intro, then I launch into a discussion about the episode, and what it means to the show. But this time? I can’t friggin’ do that.

The episode was great. It made no sense, will likely not add much lasting effect to the story at large of the show, and honestly will just be remembered as a “the creators decided to have fun with episode 100” episode. And it worked! It was really entertaining and fun.

1. I liked The Dude's cutie mark. It really tied the episode together.

Wow. A lot of people seem to really like this story. I often write fics that get a lot of likes but almost no reviews. Fimfiction has spoiled us with that thumbs up/down option. "Why back in my day, if ya'll like a story ya'd review it. Ain't no point likin' it if ya'll don't tell the darn writer why." - And that was my very poor hillybilly on a porch impression.
