Just a heads-up that the next FiCG will be covering the recent pony and technicolor humanoid shorts, and that a new Dueling Keyboards short inspired by one of them has just gone up.

Meanwhile in Ponyville, the coup and installation of Emperor Shepherd the First had gone unnoticed until it arrived by telegram. Twilight Sparkle read it, rolled her eyes, and sought out Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. Dash was napping on a cloud, while Pinkie Pie was trying to play tiddlywinks.

Got an idea and struck while the inspiration was fresh. It's technically long enough to qualify for individual publication, but I don't like putting up anything that isn't at least two thousand words on its own. As such, it's the latest Dueling Keyboards short. Bear in mind that there will be spoilers for the end of "Spring Breakdown."

Shepherd: "All right, you did great today Dash! Five hundred times through the cloud course!"

Dash: "Haa, haa, haa, yeah! I know I'm awesome!"

Shepherd: "But you're straining your wings too much in the last hundred laps. Keeping things steady and consistent makes it smooth. Smooth means fast."

Dash: "Hmph! I push myself as hard as I can all the time!"

I 've known about the stop motion shorts for a few weeks, and I finally watched one a couple of days ago to see how bad it was (specifically, it was “Cake Off”). And . . . Yeah, it was bad, folks.
