So in my last blog, I said that I bailed on the season finale about five minutes or so into the episode -- something I've never done before. I thought that perhaps I should share why, exactly, I did this.
Welp, finally getting around to do this ramble I’ve been wanting to do for quite a while. I’m sad to see the concept of the Pony of Shadows, Stygian included, didn’t get as much love and attention as I had hoped for after that season seven final.
Either way, I have some rambling to offer about it based on my own thoughts and observations. So, let’s go!
The season comes to a close with the Pony of Shadows, the Pillars of Equestria, and some VERY surprising cameos!
The rest of the season was leaked, it seems. Naturally, I've been watching each of 'em. This is the finale. It has all built up to this, and several pieces of lore are now relevant! Let's see what lies in store.
I rarely do episode reviews, though I made an exception for “A Royal Problem.” I’m making another exception, though, so it’s time to look at one of the most lore-filled episodes of the show’s run as I explain why I... don’t really care for it.
