I absolutely loved it! It had similar but slightly different humor to it that I don't know how to describe. There's more variations in how ponies look just from how they're physically built. They give a pretty big nod to G4 but leave plenty of room open to explore what happened between then and now. My only criticism is it was a bit more PG than I would have liked but I understand why. So, the time has come, G5/A New Generation the movie has dropped. Not bad, though I do agree with Dr Wolf that it seemed rushed at times, likely as he said a side effect of it being under two hours. Before I'd seen it, based on rumors and clips leaked on YouTube I would've described as 'a group of ponies go searching for the magical MacGuffin only to find out what's really important'. Seriously, if'n you were a fan of G4, there's no real surprise there, it's the details that matter.

What if ANG ended, with only Zephyr Heights being reformed?

The world would still be racist but Zephyr Heights atvleast would be making progress.

I think it would allow the racism to have to be resolved more slowly but allow for a future light hearted slice of life stories in Zephyr Heights while also keeping the goal of changing the world intact.

Basically Sunny and Hitch will still be fugitives from Maretime Bay, but they will return later in Make Your Mark.

I still didn't like it. The plot is still dumb, the message is still pretty ham-fisted, and while the main characters aren't the Mane Six clones that I thought they were, I feel most of them are a bit one-note. Oh, and there's also the inconsistencies between G4 and G5.

So, I've seen the film. I've seen some reviews, some good, some bad. And I've written/am writing stories in that particular sub-universe!

Now, obviously, the movie is not perfect. It's paced too quickly, there are issues with the attempted Aesop that may or may not actually be part of the upcoming series (I'm hoping they are), and they could have explained things better all around.
