Hey yall, long time no see!
I'm just popping in to say that I'll be at the Vanhoover Pony Convention this weekend. If any of you are in Canada and wanna say hi, hit me up here!
Hey yall, long time no see!
I'm just popping in to say that I'll be at the Vanhoover Pony Convention this weekend. If any of you are in Canada and wanna say hi, hit me up here!
This is my hotel room that I'm sleeping in at the time of writing. Had to wait until 3 PM to check in, but luckily my brother put my luggage in his car instead of rolling it around everywhere.
But these are the Cosplays I saw at.the convention.
F A U S T - S E N P A I I S C O M I N G .
You horsenerds better be coming too.
Flying out tomorrow midday! Arriving tomorrow evening! God willing, &c. Hope to see you there! Yes, you. I'm actually talking directly to you. Not those other people.
A pony convention? In MY Philadelphia? It's more likely than you think.
I'm rather excited to see if this happens!
Hat tip to Lily Wisp for the heads up!
Conventions is a group for people who want to go to conventions. Arrange meet-ups, ride shares, room shares, or just talk about what they were like. One thread per convention. MLP, SF/Fantasy/Horror, Fandom/Filk/RPG, & furry conventions.
Please feel free to reblog or otherwise mention this. I think it could be useful.
Gonna be at TrotCon July 15th – 17th (and this time I don't have to leave until Monday morning!). Come say "hello" and maybe hang out with me for a bit. If you've written horse words I've liked, then I owe you a drink
It's the fourth and final BUCK in Manchester this weekend, and I'm sure that everyone concerned will want it to go out in style. So to those who are lucky enough to be attending, I hope you have a really great time and come back with some wonderful memories that you'll always treasure. I know I did from the two BUCKs I was able to attend. As for me, I'll keep an eye on UK of Equestria, Twitter, YouTube etc to get a little of the flavour. Which is to say...
...I caught the con plague. And after I'd talked up how much more hygienic TrotCon was compared to other conventions!
So for those of you who have been following me for awhile, you'll know that for the past few years I've been cosplaying at Heroescon.
And this year is no exception.
So if you happen to be passing through Charlotte, North Carolina this Saturday, swing by Heroescon, and look me up. I've decided to don my Kingpin outfit once more.
With the announcement tonight that BronyCon will end for good after a four-day spectacular next year,* I thought I'd see a lot of "Oh, the fandom is over!" stuff, but to my slight surprise I haven't, and I'm pleased about that. The fandom has never been about one convention, however large and impressive. Are those of us who never went and never will not part of the fandom or something? Of course we're part of the fandom! Other cons will continue -- BABSCon said as much tonight -- and local
To everyone who'll be there: have a wonderful, wonderful time, and I hope the final BC is both truly spectacular and something you'll look back on with nothing but happy memories. Enjoy your long weekend!
Oh hey, yes indeed I am going to be at Ponyville Ciderfest in November!
What's more is that I've got an actual short story in an ACTUAL PHYSICAL BOOK that they're selling at the convention!
See the link for more information on this.

This convention is going to be so much fun. COME TO CIDERFEST!

I'll be going to Bronycan on Saturday and Sunday. I seem to have committed an error in attending without ensuring I had people to meet there.
Cons are a bit more like bars then I had expected.
In news that isn't a huge surprise to most people, BUCK -- the only large-scale brony con in the UK -- has announced that the 2016 iteration, in April, will be its last. There just isn't the critical mass any more for a con on that scale in this country, and so we British types will be leaving the field to BronyCon in Germany and the 47 billion (approx) events on the other side of the Atlantic. I hope you American guys know how lucky you are; make the most of it!
I'm on my way to Seaquestriafest 2023 in Ocean City, MD I'm staffing there in the Registration Department so if you're there stop by and say hi
And so it's over. There will be no more BUCKs given. (I know, I know, but it's so damn hard to resist.) There will be other pony conventions in the UK, of course -- there are still two to come this year -- but none of them will be quite on the scale of this one. As I've mentioned in the past, I did manage to get along to its 2013 and 2014 iterations, and what I've seen on the livestream and so on felt pretty similar in size and scope to 2014. Given how much I enjoyed that one, it does seem

Yo! UK Ponycon 2015 is tomorrow, and I'll be down at the Grand Mercure Hotel in Leicester with all the beautiful bronies.
So, this is purely for those who wanted to meet up at the con - I promised a pic of myself with what I'm wearing, so here ya go:
