A minor note to World Building. I imagine that in the pony pov series verse, Griffinstone acts as a 'holy-land' of sorts for the griffins, being where they think the cradle of their civilization began... whether this is true or not is open for debate... Which kinda makes its decline into a heap that's barely a place let alone a kingdom without even its own currency (they use pony bits), and the local griffins having lost any sense of cultural identity, even more sad.

Ponies don't eat meat. So I guess they don't use leather either? Y'know, since that would require skinning something and making stuff out of a creature that's dead. (We'd hope it's dead, anyway. )

There are also fanon stand-ins for real world countries, like neighpon for japan. So, in writing a human au, the question becomes, "do I stick with pony terms because it's a pony fan work, or do I use real world locations because the characters are human?"
