I'm not dead, I swear. I'm just meticulously planning this story. Might get it out next year, might get it out Mid-December. Hopes to the future!

With two sections written and looking very good if I do say so myself, the new Nightmare Night chapter should be available by the weekend. It all depends on how fast I can get the climactic and critical third section done, and my prereaders can get to it.
Though I find I’ve hit a bit of block and ended up deleting an entire multi-paragraph sequence last night when I didn’t like what I wrote. Let’s just say for now I’ve been presented with a slightly thorny tactical issue I’m still trying to solve, bugging me to the point I ended up dreaming about it last night. The dream even suggested a solution (involving Gavian!), though I’m not sure it’s one I can use. I’ll discuss it with prereaders later.
The climactic Battle of Epsilon chapter is draft complete and currently tipping the scales at a whopping 15,194 words. Musical selections are also made--expect some very heavy metal from a particularly appropriate album courtesy of AJ_Aficionado!--and it's now awaiting prereader passes. After due consideration, it is not going to be broken up into two parts. It's a big chapter because it needs to be in order to tell the full story of The Battle Beneath the Storm.
Tentatively titled “Storm Warning”, I'd hoped to have the new chapter draft complete by now, but it's not. It's about 2/3rds done, standing at around 6300 words currently. I've got the start, the ending, and the first of the middle sections more or less written, but two other sections remain. And then I have to make some graphics. Be advised, it's going to be a big chapter; probably 10k or more words.
Now that my pain has subsided most of the way, I can focus again--thank you for the well-wishes, everyone who offered them! The current chapter stands at 4500 words with two completed sections, and will probably be around 6500 words when all is said and done. Best guess right now is a Sunday release, but it could be sooner depending how quickly I finish and prereaders complete their review. Have a
It's coming, but slower than I would like. The chapter currently stands north of 13.3k words and is going to be released no later than Thursday morning even if I have to break it in two--which I really don't want to do. What's holding this one is up my busy work schedule and many little scenes and battles that have to be included; they require a lot of thought and careful planning. This one is going to set a record for number of different perspectives; each one is both essential and must
For much of the morning, things at the embassy had been calm. Lyra had left, taking Starlight with her. Diamond had gone into town, for what purpose he didn't know, but she'd been wearing saddlebags.
There wasn't any sign of impending doom from upstairs, not yet anyway.
He paced around the living area, pausing to look at the bust of Elmo—perhaps the muppet would have some guidance.
Trotcon! I'm in room 931. I'll be in a different room Saturday.
Yak con! Yak con—not very long, come again!
I'll host a room party here Friday, starting at 7pm, and going at least until 10pm.
Announcements to follow con.
At 7k words already, Part 19 might even be draft complete this weekend. Expect this chapter to be alternating between the confrontation between Nightmarity and Eclipse, and the scene back at Canterlot High as a fleeing and frightened Trixie arrives. There will be some adult action, but mostly just scene-setting this time.
I have a new story and an old dilemma.
The story is a classic Trick Question fic (dark drama mystery) that will probably clock in at around 20k, which means chapters.
The short description (may change), as a teaser:
Princess Celestia restores Harmony at a terrible price, but is it really a price if you don't know what you're paying?
Okay, so here's my problem.
Tentatively titled “Duels and Dilemmas”, I’ve already got 7k words written and am now aiming for a Sunday morning release. It’s time to introduce, or reintroduce, a previously seen character that was the creation of great Denim_Blue (peace be upon him), Gentlemanverse author and master of Changeling lore. So without further ado, here’s a brief teaser, as told from Rock Biter’s perspective:
Harness Hill
Town Square
I’m about half done with the latter, with four images generated and several more remaining as I need them to show the progression of battle and ensure my narration makes sense. Current plan is to release the chapter, titled The Daisy Regiment, tomorrow night. Feedback so far from AJA and others has been quite good, so here’s the promised teaser, with one of the finished graphics at the end:

We have a 9500 word chapter thus far, tentatively titled Lunar Lust, and it's a doozie. I promised to take Luna to the very edge of temptation, and this chapter does indeed deliver that. Be warned it may also rustle some jimmies, not so much for what happens but for admissions of what happened in the past. Needless to say, Luna has very good reason not to allow herself to fall into darkness again or be corrupted by this curse. So, will Nightmare Moon herself appear, you ask?
Hey folks! So, I know that I said more content was coming - and it is! - but I wanted to give y'all a lightning-fast update. First, yes I've seen the G5 movie and I have thoughts about it (mostly good, so, yay! ). Second, I've got a few more entries I'm putting together for Scenes From A Hat that I hope to upload TOMORROW. And finally, I've got a larger story that's getting closer to rolling out in the next few weeks. I'll post a little teaser for ya, but please be patient in the
To make a long story short, we once again have an endlessly expanding chapter that’s already several thousand words bigger than I thought it would be. It’s now over 17k words, which means we’re reaching the territory where I have to consider breaking it up again. Regardless, I plan to finish it this weekend. I’m back to work on Monday but off on Tuesday for Independence Day, though I don’t know how much work will actually be done by anyone when you’re talking one working day between the weekend
