As usual, this year’s LTUE report is going to take the place of today’s (well, technically yesterday’s) Being a Better Writer post. Three day’s summation of the best writing-related con stuff ever? You bet!

So in about 8 and a half hours I will be flying to Seattle for Everfree Northwest 2016. I have been working on chapter 4 and it's about 50% written.
I wanted to get in done before the convention but I couldn't make it, sorry. However I do have something to share something with you guys.

This is a quick signal-boost for horizon's blog on a recent incident at Bronycon. I only know what I've read for myself, but apparently, three women had their drinks spiked at the con and were almost victims of a date-rape. Fortunately, they were taken to safety, and nothing else happened, but as far as we know, the perpetrator has yet to be caught.
So, I rented a big suite at BronyCon, and I'm going to have an author/reader/friends party again! 
But... I still don't know on which evening!

Starting Chapter 14 for What They Expect to Give tonight. Hoping to hit close to 1.5k words. I got a little sidetracked tinkering with this new drabble series I'm doing featuring two background ponies. I'm hoping to put that out there soon. If you're into slice of life and comedy, PM me! I'd like some feedback on what I have so far. It's not much--just 1k. I'm trying to break out of my comfort zone.
This coming Saturday, I will be attending Animate! Florida. If anyone is going, feel free to say hi! I'll be pretty recognizable, I think, as I am going as Mettaton EX. Toodles!

Grifish Isles, the 21st MLP con to be held in th UK [1] Thats a Lot of Pony for a county so far from the main action, and my 11th, and Just how much fun can be packed into a one day con anyhow? Rather like Pinkie Pies confetti cannon, the answer is a lot!
Well, this one certainly was packed. I set off from my place early in the morning and waited for all my buddies to get their lazy butts out of bed. So I ended up alone at the convention for about two hours. But I made the best of the time. I joined a small group of people who were standing around the autograph table and a few other guys and I all talked freely with Lee Tockar. MLP-MSP is Best Convention! I attended again this year at the Hyatt downtown from June 9-13, and holy cow did I have a good time. Here are some quick stats:

Well, strictly speaking, Galacon itself was a massive let-down. Only a single writing-related panel during the entire convention and it was awful. It was also apparently part two, when part one happened last year? Bloody stupid.
But that's ok, because I had the good sense to stay away from that nonsense, and hung out with some cool Horse People instead.
