After writing six chapters over the past two and half months for Into the Storm: The Flight of Firefly, I'm heading back over to Nightmare Night to resume work there in a few days. But first, I need some down time after the heavy push I put on the last two Firefly chapters, which contained some very difficult action and exposition scenes. I also need to reset my focus and mindset from warfic to clopfic.
In a manner of speaking as its number of likes just reached 1776, the same number as the year of American Independance! I'd like to thank yet again everyone who read, enjoyed, or commented on the novelization, as well as the original author, Chrome Regios, who took on this Herculean task to begin with and churned out the first 42 chapters. Most people on this website probably know by now that I'm a very big fan of the Storm King, especially to where I consider him my #1 favorite villain of MLP: FiM. And one of the most underrated animated villains ever, that's for sure. Heck, I honestly can't picture what the 2017 MLP movie would've been like without the Storm King or how the movie would benefit without him, and if it wasn't for the character, I probably wouldn't have ever known about Liev Schreiber or become a fan of him.
After an unpleasant couple weeks of work, I've got a three day weekend to unwind and take advantage of. Here's my writing schedule to come, in order of priority:

Thanks to the long weekend, the next Unleash the Magic: Midnight Rising chapter draft should be finished by Monday or sooner, and will be posted as soon as it passes prereaders. Needless to say, I think you all know what happens next... 
2. The Lawyer and The Unicorn
For fans of Into the Storm: The Flight of Firefly, I will be aiming for a new chapter release this weekend or early next week, depending on how quickly I can get the rest written. The new chapter currently stands at 3500 words and should be at least double that length by the end. It's been a long two months. Nothing good in theaters, long hours at work, a snowstorm, the computer burning out and a bottle of bird dog, it's been down right uneventful. So, I decided to revisit a movie I'd seen and do something I don't usually do... an outline for a cartoon movie I'd seen on how I'd have done it. I admit it's probably rushed and all in one sitting but it's what I've got.

Nothing is ever as bad--or as good--as it first seems. So do yourselves a favor and don't obsess over Coronavirus; checking news feeds and numbers constantly. It won't change anything and the overly-sensationalistic (and often false) coverage won't accomplish anything except to heighten anxiety. This thing will run its course and we'll come out the other side of it in decent shape; in the meantime just take care of yourselves and take what precautions you can.

I had planned to shift over to Nightmare Night after this latest chapter, but I find myself with momentum on the story again after a successful release--I really enjoyed the comments this time, folks; they told me I hit the mark I was aiming for on this chapter quite well--and a scene I very much want to get to.
And for readers of Firefly, your presents are as follows:
1. The next Firefly chapter, tentatively titled Rock of Equestria, should be draft complete this weekend and be off to prereaders. Afterwards, I need to create the promised graphics before I release it. Total length will probably be around 9000 words or so as we start into the battles around Maresk and the struggles of the Equestrian Army to escape envelopment and bloody the gryphons a bit five days into the war.
Tentatively titled "Cavern Clash", which should give some clue as to its contents, it currently stands at 5200 words and climbing; I suspect it will be at around 8k when all is said and done. As I started into it, I realized I had yet to address a nagging question leftover from the first book--namely, what happened to the two Ravens captured at Epsilon the evening before the war? You know,
In short, I’m happy to report that the next Continuation and Chronicles release is just a few days away, and I’m finally starting to feel more myself again. Harmonic Resonance is lagging, however, as I’m just finding the going very tough there.
I mentioned in my last post that this latest chapter (session 1.25) has been a pain to write. It has. Ignoring irl issues of course (heat, work, fatigue, illness) I've been grafting at the laptop to define the uncertainty in Calmys heart whilst also expanding on his outside life. In some ways, it's hard for me to imagine Calmy (cool, mostly confident, often in control) outside of his office. Even his home is fairly sterile, justifiably and with possible explanation in the future. Still, writing
First of all I'd like to thank Estee, some of her notes regarding her latest piece (Monster Girl In Equestria) really helped me gain a more critical eye over my own work. I certainly re-evaluated scenes and cut what felt like cliché content, some of which( in hindsight) just wouldn't have made sense with where this is going and what I want it to be.
