But we usually don't hear about these leaders in school textbooks as they are often left out of school history lessons.

A common symptom of being on FIMFiction for a while is an ever-growing read later list, composed of a bunch of stories which looked interesting enough to mark “read later”, but which you were too lazy to read at that point in time, either because it wasn’t really that interesting, because you were pressed for time, or because it was simply fairly long and would require some actual commitment.
My Read It Later list is up to 1517 stories at the time of writing.

My little sister is making me spend more of my money.
If you all will remember, some time ago I swore I'd attend the last Bronycon, but for a while things were looking rather rocky. Finances have not been great in Nyronus land, even by my usual abysmal standards, and my plan to save money in handfuls at a time was blown apart by spending more months than not barely in the black. Plus, shenanigans have diminished my tax returns greatly, which was my usual foundation for saving for Bronycon.
But, I have fortuitous news.
I have just released an anthology of my flashfics that I am writing for the Flashfic 150 competitions. There isn't much to say here, everything I could say here is something I already said in the description of the anthology, but I'm used to accompany story releases with a blog entry. Wow, these were two crazy months I am coming out from..... October was filled with so many releases like I never had before in a single month. All together, I published three one-shots + my flashfic anthology in October. "Unsung Hero" and

There are a few important things I need to talk about regarding the fic, so, let's get this started:

I watched the sun rise at midnight.
I watched an impossible dawn.
I watched an explosion so far away it took half a minute for me to hear it and it still rattled my bones.
I watched as, for the first time, humanity reached a milestone on a quest to live on other worlds.
After many delays and struggles with formatting cover art and other book-related tribulations, my first book of horse stories will soon be something y'all can buy with your real, human money! I've just ordered the test copy, so I can agonizingly take whatever red ink (it'll actually be black or blue, I don't like red pens) needs to be put to the pages before the final version is done.
