So, this just happened! I just got up, checked "Wish for a Mother" and it's in the FEATURE BOX! :O 201 views and 26 upvotes in 13 hours and 39 minutes have catapulted it into the Feature Box!!!!!!!!
Edit/Update: The search by 'heat' doesn't treat story length in quite the same way as the Featured Box's full algorithm does, so the results are NOT entirely comparable. When I tested this initially, the Box had such a large proportion of Anon stories in it that any discrepancy in NON-ANON story results wasn't initially obvious.

So apparently even though I still have some mixed feelings about the fact that it of all stories was first to do so, "Overlooked" hitting the feature box seems to have worked to my favor, as it seems to expanded the number of readers likely to read my future works.

Sadly, Thorax the Red-Nosed Bughorse has not been nearly as well-received as I'd hoped. 
Even if it were more well-liked, there's no way it could be Feature Box material when it has to compete with gems like these:

You guys have been an AMAZING following, helping me out and giving me lots of amazing ideas. You're all incredible. And I appreciate every single one of your submissions to the Relic ideas bin. And the number of OCs that I can actually feature in the story is great! There have been plenty of compatible characters.

Thanks to everyone who read and everyone who enjoyed! You make the clopfic business all worthwhile.

I didn't think through the "lots of bad stories have OP OC characters compared to Twilight" angle of Irreversible, probably because I neither read nor write stories of that sort. This was an unfortunate oversight, especially since Eclipse's powers aren't super-relevant to the story.
The inability to shield disturbing content has always been a problem on Fimfiction. This problem has recently been getting much worse.
I may have a solution.

I think this is going to be the last of what I share from this project's leftovers; of the two iterations of the scene that follows what I posted last time, I think this one stands on its own better, has fewer spoilers (but I still can't post the whole thing), and, despite what I thought last night when I only glanced at it, actually does contain Trixie.

Currently, the set is working its way up to the top of the feature box, mostly because of the second story in the lot, in which Luna does something hilarious.
