After five faithful years of service, it seems my laptop has finally entered the last stages of its life. Got the infamous "click of death" last night.

I've already picked out a new one, but it'll be about two weeks before I get it, so I'm afraid my latest fic will be delayed for a while. Sorry about that. Hopefully it'll be worth the wait.

Just popping in to say that I am currently sitting at almost 2500 words for Chapter 1 thus far.

Ideally I would like it to be longer than the prologue while fleshing out the setting a little better. I still have a lot more plot established for Chapter 1 that needs to be met before it is posted for my pre-readers.

That pretty much summarizes my mental state of the past few days. Constantly tired (half due to not getting enough sleep and half due to my walking regimen), and I can't really think of things I want to write for the story. You know you're having trouble finding things to talk about when your brain fishes for tuna, but ends up with guppies instead.

I have my doubts that I'll be able to finish the chapter by my estimated deadline. Work and distractions have been a bit of a thing, and on top of that, I have to go to the hospital on Monday so they can check to see how the Humira I've been taking is treating me. The chapter is nowhere near finished, much to my annoyance. So if I'm unable to upload anything by next Saturday, I'll let you know.

I've had a few of my readers tell me in the comments of M.L.G.'s "Trifecta - Part Three" that Gray's backstory wasn't something they saw coming. That actually surprises me. I mean, my opinion of the subject matches Levi's: the whole thing strikes me as somewhat cliche. Was it really that out-of-nowhere for y'all?

I still haven't received the picture yet--not surprising, considering that people tend to be busy during the month of December--but work on M.L.G. continues. I've got two chapters done. Well, technically one and a third chapters done: material for the second day of Gray's challenge is finished, but the third day has enough material going for it that what I have finished will be the first part of three.
