FireRain, this mare:
Hey Everyone!
Sorry it’s been so long, I’ve been so focused on getting ranked up in game and starting up end again that I haven’t made a ton of progress. I also am doing a bit of reworking for this chapter since the original outline for it doesn’t feel like it meshes with where the story is currently. Nothing too major I don’t think but it will take just a little longer for it to be done.
It has come to my attention once again that it's November, a month where I finally have an excuse to spend hours of time each day agonizing over writing a single sentence. Or at least, that's how it usually goes when I write long form fiction (you may have already seen).
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrreetings everypony, and welcome back to Deconstruction is Magic, my retrospective/review/analysis of every FiM episode ever. Today, it's one of my favourite episodes of all time, Griffon the Brushoff! Without wasting any more time, let's get into it. I am the Mage of Mind, reminding you, as always, that even a cheeseburger can be deconstructed to its source.
Hey everyone Celtic here, as you can tell by the title, I'm planning on doing roast of my OC mise. For those of you who don't know what a roast is, it's basically where you take one person, in this case mise, and you bring in a bunch of people, usually friends or acquaintances, and they all take turns ribbing and taking playful jabs at the person being roasted. Comedy central made them very popular, and recently places like Tumblr and other social media sites have as well.
Warning: This post is totally off-topic for ponies. If you don't like politics, don't like schadenfreude, don't like people talking about politics, ect. this is probably not the post for you. Go find something fun to do. Maybe read Bad Horse's Displaced story about semiotic psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan. Or maybe Pascoite's touching story about pony adoption.
Everyone who has read both "Project Horizons" and the original Fallout: Equestria knows about the two main leaders of specific groups that cause most of the story to happen.
Sanguine and Red Eye.
All I'm asking is what should be done about them if I were to include them in "The Gates to Hell"?
Hey everyone. So I started my own spinoff story to The Little Pony Legend. It's called The Little Pony Legend: The Redeemers. And it's focused on those years that were spent for the many villains of Korra and MLP spent working off their bad deeds to 2 worlds. So check it out.
I have 17 incomplete stories in my portfolio. That's not counting the few that I gave up and marked as "on hiatus".
I can't promise I'll get better or faster at writing new stories, but, here is what I will promise.
I will update all 17 incomplete stories before 2016.
For a good number, that means actually finishing the stories and gaining closure. For others, it just means they continue to march on.
I'm a big fan of Youtube Reviews but personally, I prefer the ones about obscure films. Cinema Snob's Horror and Phelous's Animated Rip-Offs are some of my favourites. I mean everyone's heard of the Beauty and the Beast re-make, some like it, some don't, I think it's pretty good.
But how many people have heard of Goodtimes Entertainment's Beauty and the Beast starring the bastard child of Pumbaa and Goomba as the Beast.
I mean before Phelous reviewed it.
...
EDIT: Consensus reached. Shadow of a Doubt shall be known as such for now and until the end of time.
So what's the consensus on name changes for fics? I mean, I know it's allowed, but how do readers feel about it? Shadow of a Doubt was kind of a spur of the moment thing, and though it's grown on me since, I've recently been struck with an even better name. One that's essentially been in the story's description the whole time.
Solace in Starlight.
In case y'all haven't seen, this year's Nightmare Night in April is going on, and the folder is open for submissions. If you're interested in writing a horror story this month, you have about 2 weeks to do so and put it in the write-off folder.
Now that YouTube has started complying with COPPA on January 6, videos of cartoons such as Steven Universe and Infinity Train, as well as some fan-made MLP content have all their comments turned off. Also, whenever I stream YouTube on my phone, it shows a heads up saying, "Miniplayer is off for videos made for kids. Tap play to resume." It means that I can't play kid-friendly videos whilst searching for other videos to watch. That's just great. YouTube viewing experience is now being restricted
For those who didn't get the memo yet, I've launched another write-off! This one only has a couple days on it, but it's the kind you can hurry on! It's...
I worked very hard on it and it's getting no traction.
