Hello and welcome back to the Anime Otaku Survey! It’s been a little while since my previous installment. For anyone just tuning in for the first time, this is a blog series dedicated to the study and review of anime that I watch. I highlight everything about the show that stands out to me, the good and the bad. As always, my reviews on here tend to be a bit spoilery, so you have been warned.

(I volunteered to keep the place from bursting into flames one weekend while Estee needed to be elsewhere and they haven't let me give the authority back since.) One of the more fun elements of the server is Tipper posting silly yet intriguing story prompts in the headcanon discussion channel.

I'm back! No longer diseased! Well, not fully. And still with a recovering knee injury, but those things take time, or so I'm told by the doctors. But I am well enough to write write write at last! My mind is clear! And so after a long, unwelcome delay, we're finally getting back to a follow-up post I alluded to some time ago.
I am curious. What is it about Shattered that you guys like about it? What positives do you have? What negatives do you have? Something you think that needs to be looked into some more that I should do? Maybe something that could have been taken out completely?
Emergency update: Got my right arm smashed at work Saturday night. Seven stitches. All is recovering well, but can't type well and am restricted from hand use until at least Wednesday. Further updates will come when I can give them.
Do not become attached to your ideas.
Let’s put that in a positive statement. Become attached to your successes. Though. Really. Be suspicious of all attachments in your writing. For beginning and intermediate writers, this almost always means your plot ideas.
There are no new ideas. There, I said it. Not yours, not mine, not anybody’s.
Finally, the happy day arrives, and Twilight and Shepherd go to the hospital. Twilight is breathing hard, as she goes through labor. Shepherd squeezes her hoof comforting as Nurse Redheart stands on the other side of the bed.
Nurse Redheart: “Don’t worry Princess, you’re doing fine. You’re already dilating, which is very good! Now, we’ll start with the low intensity pain killers and then apply the higher grade stuff as you-”
One of the most frustrating parts about Flash Sentry is that he was made WAY too bland. So bland that there wasn't a reason for Twilight to actually fall for him. Not until later movies and episodes actually GAVE him some.

So my local Brony group is really active and organized, and one of the things we do is a free, weekly, hour-long writing class with volunteer teachers. I've taught two lessons in it so far, and my non-Brony roommate wanted me to film it this last time because he was interested in the lesson but didn't want to come to the group meeting. So I took about eight hours to get the whole thing into good shape on YouTube, and you can watch it there. And now you can watch it here, if you have a spare
