Hey everyone, how's it going?
While I was out West, I managed to put a fair bit of the time spent sitting in a car into working on my next few sets of headcanons. I actually got quite a few done or close to done, so when I got home it was a bit of a hard pick to decide what to post next.
After a bit of thought, I decided to go in more or less chronological order, and post the headcanons in the order I wrote them.
Fan Art (YuYuSunshine) for Because You Are My Sister (Abigail Fetch Walker).
So, with Aces High chapter 4 up (which you should read...and like, and so on so forth), I thought it was about time to write out a funny piece of headcanon I developed rather by accident.
(Loosely inspired by this: Sparkle-Date Me .)
sparkle (n.): the unit of magical potency; devised in 60 Y.H. by Star Sparkle of House Twinkle, whose work with the Royal College in recovering the arcane knowledge lost during the Discordant Era and in laying the groundwork for the modern scientific conception of magic is well known and discussed extensively elsewhere.
So, I'm wanting to do a Headcanon Nonsense about our favorite teenage magical horse girls, but I'm stuck for a topic. I've done cursing, kinks, looks, movie preferences, and general overviews.
I figured if I was stuck, maybe you out there have some ideas of what you'd like me to Headcanon about. There's just a couple of rules.
For any readers of Growing Pains interested in knowing what my concept of older Spike actually... looked like? Here you go. Done on Autodesk Sketchbook.
Not too shabby, considering I've not worked with computer drawing for long.
okay. so.
I think that in the canon of Family Tree, there are some ways that pony society views romantic/ etc. relationships that i will explain here in this post, as promised, but the explanation has no place in the story as of yet, without seeming like a lore dump
and we ain't got time to dive into gender, just sexuality today kiddos.
so here goes:
When you come up on an episode that will probably Joss your fic, I guess you can have two different attitudes: excitement or fear. My unfinished story, Command Performance, is all about different winter holiday traditions: how different families celebrate the same holiday, and how some don't celebrate the same holidays at all. But my Pinkie already had a solution, rooted in being a party pony:
Writing a bit of a far future Twilight Sparkle story, because I can't focus, on like anything.
The setting is about S1 +1000. Not a lot of characters are left. But Spike's still there. I'm still not completely caught up on season 7 (even though I'm watching 8), but I saw the one that has Torch in the legend of Flash Magnus, meaning dragons live crazy long. Thanks, show, for confirming my headcanon for once.
Been a while since one of these, but I had the idea and I plan on running with it, especially since this is one aspect of my headcanon that’s more or less managed to survive both the show and my own failure to write down background ideas outside of story notes. Today I’ll be discussing everything I derived from major pony holidays, leading up to what I feel will be a very interesting question that I don’t think anyone has posed as of yet.
Recently, I came across the following blogs related to someone else's headcanon for Fullmetal Alchemist:
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Why does everyone assume doughnut Joe's place is in Canterlot? I mean, sure, the mane six eat there with Celestia after the Worst Night Ever (trademark pending), but what's to say Celestia didn't just follow them home? I'm sure she makes occasional visits there anyway, seeing as her Most Faithful Student (trademark pending) lives there. And besides, we see him on the Friendship Express heading towards Canterlot with his creation, Doughnutopia.
Warning: Spoilers from the latest episode, Inspiration Manifestation, abound. Proceed with caution.
Warning: Spoilers from the latest episode, It Ain't Easy Being Breezies, abound. Proceed with caution.
Well, since Bad Horse didn’t provide any story prompts today, it’s time for something based on popular demand (by which I mean it edged out another blog by a vote.) Here’s my take on the matter of pony sexuality and the bizarre multidimensional creature known as the Linseed Scale. I hope you like it, because this is probably the closest I’m ever going to come to writing clop.
Note that there are footnotes, so you may want to open the blog in two tabs and scroll down in one.
I've seen the last episode of FIM and boy was it a continuity blast with the whole party and twilight beeing on panic mode for her perceived lousy friendship(not to mention that moon dancer while not doubt create a lot of shipping fics as well as the lingering existencial crisis that twilight is but one of many clones that Celestia has used trough the years in an atempt to create a worthy succesor) but possible metal gears fics aside(between Twilight, Sunset and Moon dancer we definetely have
Had a shower thought yesterday that the four "goth" ponies we see in the main show represent four aspects of goth culture. Allow me to explain.
Inky Rose -- Fashion
This is the most obvious one, as her debut appearance in "Honest Apple" is all about fashion. Beyond that, in my headcanon, she is not the only pony in her family who represents the gothic culture.
Snow Hope -- Hair/Make-up
Just recording these thoughts before I call it a night... thought I’d share these for kicks and giggles:
Sunny Flare
