The rules on the front page are probably more intimidating than they ought to be, so I'll move everything over here. This will also allow some room for expansion.

Edit: This group is now being run by Super Trampoline. I've placed him in charge of the rules.

TL;DR:
* If it's under 2,500 words, put it in One-shots.
* If it's an anthology, it goes in Anthologies.
* Everything else goes in Multiple Chapters.
* Only one folder per story. Choose whatever fits best.
* If you're confused, you can always PM me. I promise I don't bite!

One-shots:
* Stories that are less than 2,500 words.
* Despite the name, there's no limit on number of chapters, so long as the whole is under 2,500 words.
* If you have ten thirty or more stories for the one-shots folder, they go in Prolific Writers. I'll We'll make a subfolder specifically for your stories. (Number upped due to massive wall of folders.)
** If you've already got some stories in other folders, feel free to PM me.
** Prolific Writers is only for one-shots at this time. Anthologies and multiple-chapter stories still go in their respective folders.
** Due to repeated mix-ups, I've disabled user posting in some folders that exist only for organizational purposes (like
Ad through Ar.) If you don't have a Prolific Writers folder yet, but you've earned one, just post in the general Prolific Writers folder.
* Otherwise, choose one genre folder for your story.
* Some authors heavily edit a story, then make the new version a separate chapter from the original. If the new version is less than 2,500 words, feel free to put it in One-shots, no matter how long the original version is.

Multiple chapters:
* Each chapter is less than 2,500 words.
* There's a bit of leeway if some chapters are a little overlong.
** If you're not sure, feel free to PM me.

Anthologies:
* Each story is less than 2,500 words.
* Again, there's a bit of leeway.

<1,000 words:
* Oldies from before the ban.
* This folder is currently locked. If you've got something that fits, PM me.

Miscellaneous:
* We have no content restrictions at all. Bring on the porn!
* Word count is based on FIMfiction's count. I know it's inaccurate, but it's a lot simpler to check.
* Sometimes categories change. Maybe that one-shot was so well-received you decided to give it multiple chapters. Feel free to shoot me a PM about it.
