4014817 It would require a big rewrite of the general plot of the show (as well as to an extent the motivations of the characters), but if I could write by own take on both the sisters relationship I'd have them more akin to Ramses and Moses in the Prince of Egypt, in the sense that the roles they take combined with unfortunate events strain their relationship whilst still knowing they're family and not really wanting to fight each other. Personally I think Nightmare Moon's creation would have been stronger had it been born out of a mix of emotions rather than simple jealousy and frustration. If this were a different show with a different theme I would love to see what possible events could have lead to the creation of Nightmare Moon, then have her as a recurring sympathetic villain, neither completely evil nor completely blameless, then when it comes to her redemption have her grow into more of a Gandalf like character, interacting with Twilight more as a second mentor and sharing past experiences and history to the betterment of both characters (and yes I know that parts Lily Peet's idea, but I think its a good one.).
