Deadline extended until 23:59:59 (PDT) Wednesday 8th June.

Welcome to the fifth Equestria at war Write Off!
Fifth!? Can you really believe it?

This time the theme is: "Magic making way for technology.".

Magic. An ether that permeates the world. For untold ages, magic has been the bedrock of society. It was magic that created the Griffonian Empire, magic that allowed the ponies to thrive in Equestria, as well as Griffonia and magic tied together the world beyond what anyone could have imagined. But times are changing.

Where it once took several earth ponies to plow and sow a field, a tractor can plow it in less time and the telegraph and telephone rapidly brings what was once the exclusive domain of dragonfire to the world.

Technology marches on and magic fades from view as it creates new problems and solves old.
