We have two winners!

They have together found Keyslam, and so they will share the 20k-word commission reward. :)

This here's an event group, hosted by the one and only Tonkus! (Or 'Techie. Whichever you prefer.)

The rules are simple:

  • Respect others
  • Do NOT PM the account you think is my alt. PM me instead, or make a thread in the forum of this group.
  • Brute-forcing your search by asking me about every user within X years will disqualify you.
  • Have fun!

Breaking any of the first three rules may result in disqualification if serious enough.

The event is a scavenger hunt/mystery puzzle. I made a second alt account as part of an experiment a little while back, and I feel that it's time to move onto the next part of the experiment now that some stories have been posted under that name.

What's this next part, you may ask?

How quickly y'all can find it. :)

But what's an event without a reward? Read below:

Find the alt and you'll get a free story commission up to 20k words. I refuse to do anything NSFW regardless of if you found the alt or not. I'll work as closely as possible with you to make sure I get the story written the way you want it. PM me if you think you've found it! Do NOT PM the account you think is the correct one, as it would most likely annoy a good number of people.

yup. it's all still there, though some public links are now hidden, you for certain posts you've gotta dig a little deeper

yup! it's just simple hex code. Once you get all 41 files, you can decode them into more usable formats. Most of the difficulty's been in finding those files. ;)

Oh thank goodness! I thought I'd have to gain a migraine to understand it. Alas that also means the search must go on!

So based of the talk of fragments I looked into what Fragments are and… yeah it's gone past my understanding but here's a link that might be able to help others. I hope!

So I'm guessing the file blog posts are the clue posts for the scavenger hunt?

No worries. I've had to more or less pause this for now anyway 'cause studying for my upcoming finals has been eating up my time.

You may be wondering why I suddenly and completely went silent.

...I just felt mentally exhausting myself over a wild goose chase where I very well might not even be chasing the right lead in the first place just wasn't... worth my time. It kept giving me headaches- heck, my first attempt alone was taxing in and of itself... though I suppose it's on me that I tried to bruteforce it, of all things. And honestly? It's not worth it... it just... wasn't worth the headache.

it's an incorrect translation.

442043
How did you translate that?

442043
Perhaps it is not a string of text? 👀

...41 fragments...

...even if each fragment is a letter... heck, even if each two fragments make up one letter... and they make up the name of the account...

...that's twenty characters in one name. ...pretty long name.

...plus the fragments have a specific order that isn't just whatever order you post the clues in... that's proven because otherwise, what would be defining the order, if not the chronological basis?

...then, if 41 characters is too long to be a name... but the name is what it's most likely to be... then perhaps something more than the name? A link...

...well, it's highly unlikely the account's name is two letters long either. So probably not a link... or, at least, not a link to a fimfiction account.

...21... 21...

...blackjack... 21 of bust... also happens to be another color/noun combo, if the whole 'red herring' thing means anything that isn't quite literally a red herring.

...also the legal drinking (and lately, smoking) age...

...or could just be a coincidence...

No worries, I haven't deleted anything yet.

Yet.

...

...perhaps a break is in order.

Stressing over things will just reduce my efficiency at solving them.

Besides, the other reader (GJWrites) actually came out with That Doofenshmirtz story we were talking about. I'm genuinely surprised. They work fast...

Edit: ...seems great speed comes at the cost of great quality.

...y e p. Shoulda seen that one coming...
