Continuing on from my last post, here's another reason that could've contributed to Equestria's current state after the revelation Clover the Clever, Private Pansy, and Smart Cookie were not whom everypony thought they were: a stallion who is a more villainous Donald Trump parody took advantage of the three tribes' newly-shattered belief in Equestria and turned them all against Twilight Sparkle and everyone associated with her, making anti-Magic of Friendship propaganda that framed them as enemies of the world, along with painting Alicorns as manipulative masterminds who wish to torment all ponies. This chain of events causes Twilight to disappear from public view out of pessimism and allow the stallion to take over as the new president of Equestria, where he continues to pull strings on everypony and treat them like suckers to this very day.
