Folks joining this group may be interested in The Mythopoeic Society. They have 2 journals, a yearly convention in July or August, Mythcon, and discussion groups in a few cities.

The Mythopoeic Society is a non-profit organization devoted to the study of mythopoeic literature, particularly the works of members of the informal Oxford literary circle known as the “Inklings.”

Mythcon has great bardic circles, and interesting people, but its talks are pretty dry, as some members just stand at a podium and read their latest publication out loud.

I've wanted a chance to go to Mythcon for quite awhile!
